Memorial Day Thank you...

This card was made for our little groups' weekly challenge, usually for someone on the Need a Lift forum on SCS.  It is my week to choose the challenge and the thread.  Some gals in our group have gone through quite a bit over the last few weeks that I decided I wanted to do something a bit more uplifting and not a Sympathy or Get Well card.   I chose my dh's grandfather.  He served in WWII with the Army Corps of Engineers, a retired Architect, and is very proud of both accomplishments.  Although he suffers from Sun-downing caused from a minor stroke, he still remembers those he served with and knows what a lucky man he is.  When it was time for him to ship out to Europe, he was pulled back to remain stateside for purposes needed here.  Less than 15 men in his unit came back...
He met is wife during this time and they have been happily married for 60+ years!!!!  It is because of him that my husband serves in the Army to continue the fight of securing our country and our freedom!  Thank you to ALL our men and women who serve in the military and please don't forget to thank them this Memorial Weekend...
