The Cat's Pajamas Stamps May New Release and Blog Hop

Well! It's back to the grind now that the long weekend is over. But don't worry, we will turn that frown upside down with all the fun new stamp sets and CutUps TCP is releasing! Nothing like some new stamps to start off your week!

My first card to share with you is an interactive card.  I saw a spinner card that gave me an idea to use a few different sets being released for my card.  Now, I think I would have perhaps done a few things differently. One, I think I would have made this a square card at 5"x5" and two, I would have used a smaller image to depict what this cutie was dreaming about.  However, I could not resist the image just knowing there are some fur friends who probably dream such excitement! :)

Here's a quick video to show the motion of it.

As you can see, I use a few different images from the new sets.  Each one had an image unique to what this little guy could be dreaming about.  I also kept it in gray with a hint of color since I am guessing they are dreaming in gray?  This was a fun card to make and I will probably do it again using something different.

For my second card, I decided to make a Z Fold card to extend the image a little more from this set called Live More.

Again, in hindsight, I would have done one thing differently and that would have been to keep the lines straight. I don't know why I curved them at all, but at that point, there was no turning back! :)  This set is a darling and perfect for watercolors.  The new grass die is not a TCP exclusive, but one that is being carried in the store.

So now that you have seen some more creations with some new products, are you
IN IT TO WIN IT?

Thanks for stopping in and next up is the fabulous LYNN!

Ahoy Matey! Friday Challenge - Your Next Stamp

TGIF!!  I don't know about you, but this week sure felt it crawled by.  It could be because I am a bit under the weather. Either way, the long weekend is here and hopefully, you all have something fun planned!

This week's Friday challenge with Your Next Stamp could be just what you need to pass some downtime this long weekend. I decided to make a fun pirate card using the sketch and the new release set of  Yo Ho Ho.

The main panel was lightly sponged with some distressed before adding some waves using the new Tiny Waves die and some kraft cardstock for land. The ship and pirate were colored in with Copics before being cut out using the coordinating dies.  The card was finished with some Stitched Puffy Clouds popped up along with the little pirate. The sentiment was stamped directly onto the land.

Be sure to stop by the YNS Blog to see all the creations for this challenge by the DT and hope you will be able to play along!  Thanks for stopping by and have a great Memorial Weekend. Please remember to take a moment to remember those who have given the ultimate sacrifice of their life so you can live yours and enjoy such a weekend.

Smile! The Cat's Pajamas May Sneak Peek

Are you ready for another sneak peek for the May release from The Cat's Pajamas? There are so many lovable stamp sets and awesome new CutUps in this release, you will not be short of any mojo to create something awesome.

For my first sneak,  I created a card using the super fun set of Pawprints.  On the patterned paper, I used the new CutUp of Eyelet to create the bottom portion before adding the top layer of the image and sentiment.  Copics were used to color in the image and the sentiment was stamped directly onto the panel. Isn't this image the sweetest?

For my second card, I used the fun new CutUps of Smile and Camera to create this fun and colorful card.

Are you in it to win it?

A Huge Thanks - Shades of Blue - Your Next Stamp DT Dare

Happy Hump Day! It is the Your Next Stamp DT Dare and we are feeling blue.  Shades of blue is this months theme and the team did not disappoint in sharing their fab creations using the color blue.

For my card, I decided to use some watercolor paper and Distress Inks to create the background.  The image was stamped using the new Sea Friends set and coordinating dies in the YNS Stone Gray ink.

I popped up the image over the background and added some fun trim to the bottom.  The card was finished with a few bubbles stamped from the same set and some of the new Seas the Day gumdrops.

Your Next Stamp May Release and Blog Hop

It has arrived! The May new release for Your Next Stamp! I hope you had a chance to see all the sneak peeks today the DT had and ready with your list to purchase your favorites.

I love these new Tiny Sliders dies that will allow so many possibilities of slider cards.  I couldn't resist making a slider card using the new Yo Ho Ho set.

Once I had the ship colored in with some pencils, I cut it out using the coordinating die to make the piece to slide using the wavy slider.  When you pull the bottle top, the ship will slide with the card to reveal a sentiment. It was complete with a few YNS Stitched Puffy Cloud die cuts.

Isn't that fun? I didn't leave it at that as I also created an inside to reveal another sentiment and image.

This was a fun card to make and with these new Tiny Sliders, it makes it easy.

For my next card, I used the new Sea Friends set with the new Rounded Square Piercing die set. Everyone has that one friend who is rare and is so appreciated.  I colored in this Unicorn whale with the horn in rainbow colors and made the rare portion of the sentiment be the focus of the card.

I colored in the rainbow waters with Copics and cut it out with the Tiny Waves die.  The patterned paper is from the YNS Watermelon Party collection and the card was complete with a few fun gumdrops.

As always, Karen is offering a generous sale with her new release and now you can get all those on your wishlist! :)  Thanks for hopping in and if you are a mother, Happy Mother's Day!!

May Release Sneaky Peek - Your Next Stamp

It's time for the May new release from Your Next Stamp! There is so much fun in this release along with some clever dies to feed your creativity.  Like any YNS release, you will not be disappointed with the lineup Karen has put together for this release.

For my sneak peek, I am using the new set of Sea Friends, Tiny Waves, and the new Tiny Sliders die set to create this spinner card.

The images were stamped and colored in with Copics before being cut out with the coordinating die.  I created the spinner center with the  Tiny Spinner set and cut out some waves for the water below before adding the seals to the spinner.  For an added element, I stamped, cut out, and popped up the little water drops that are included in the Sea Friends set.  The card was completed with some fun new Gum Drops.  This card was fun to make and didn't take as long as I was expecting! Perfect to give to your friend whom you give a "seal of approval!"

Be sure to stop by the YNS Blog to see all the awesome sneaky peeks the DT have made.  And then don't forget to head back here for the new release blog hop! Thanks for stopping in and hope you have a great Saturday!!

Focus on the Good Times - Your Next Stamp Friday Challenge

It's time for another Your Next Stamp Friday challenge! This weeks sketch is so much fun and there are many ways you can interpret this to make it your own.  I always love using the sketch so you can guess what I used again this week... :)

For my card, I am using the Photo Booth stamp set. This is such a fun set perfect to make funny, punny, and unique cards with your favorite furry friend.

I stamped the image and colored it in with Copics before cutting it out with the coordinating die.  The patterned paper is the YNS Geometric Patterns collection.  I added the diagonal strips using some gray cardstock and some white cardstock in the center before adding the sentiment in the middle.  The card was finished with some gumdrops.

We hope you are able to play along and link your creation the YNS Blog so that you can have a chance to win.  Be sure to stop by the YNS Blog see all the challenge creations the DT put together.  Thanks for stopping by and hope you have a great weekend!

Cheers! TCPTUES346

It is time for the TCPTUES346 challenge and it is all about die cutting! There is so much you can do with this challenge that everyone can join in on the fun.

For my card, I am using the new word Cut Up of Cheers along with the coordinating Cut Ups that go with the 'tini stamp set.

I cut out the word with some card stock I added embossing powder to for added sparkle.  The 'tini glass was cut out with some white glitter card stock and the card was finished with some rhinestones and the edge of the card cut out using an edge punch.  A simple but sparkly card!

We sure hope you come play along with us and link your creation to the TCP Blog for a chance to win! Be sure to stop by the TCP Blog to see all the Kitty Cat packs' creations.  Thanks for stopping by!
