Christmas Tag... just the start! YNS Friday Fun Project

TGIF!

The weekend is here and we have made it through another week! Woot! To end this week, it is another Friday challenge over at Your Next Stamp and I decided to tap into the start of some Christmas tags.  I don't know about you, but I always find myself making last minute tags for gifts when I need them.  SO! To start the season, here is one made using the new release of Jingle All The Way.

This set is so super fun and cute that the images make great tags.  For my tag, I used patterned paper from Lawn Fawn's Snowy Day collection and the base tag is made using YNS Bookmark/Tag die set, which is sadly out of stock at the moment.  I used the Open Scallop Die set to set the background of Santa who is popped up.  The 'To and From' piece is one from the Lawn Fawn paper collection I used.  The sentiment was stamped directly onto the tag and finished with some ribbon and cord at the top.  For added bling, some fun sequins I picked up and a gold nugget gumdrop were used to complete the look.

Your Next Stamp Feature Day - Autumn Greetings

Howdy crafty friends!

Today is Feature Day with the YNS Design Team and the theme is Fall! The newest release is perfect for this and as you can see from the line up on the YNS Blog, we all couldn't resist using some of the same sets to feature.

For my card, I am using Sandy Squirrel - Autumn Greetings set along with the coordinating die set.

Isn't she the cutest? There are many more cute images in this set perfect for sending someone Autumn Greetings or for the squirrel lover in your life! :)  This card is a 4x4 size and I started with a creme card stock base with some patterned paper from Doodlebug & Co.  I used the Banner Die Set for the fishtail banner for the top panel which I popped up the image and acorns on top.  The sentiment was stamped and placed on the bottom with another acorn popped up on the end of that. Just a cute Autumn card to tuck away in someones bag or send off  in the mail for a pick me up.

Be sure to stop by the YNS Blog to see all the wonderful creations and don't forget to leave a little love! Thanks for stopping by here and hope you have a great day!

All That Shines and Glitters - Your Next Stamp DT Dare

Hi all!

We have a new YNS DT Dare to share with you this month and our dare is to use anything that shines and glitters!  Who doesn't like anything that does that?!

For my card, I am using the new set called Santa's Helpers along with a die called Houses on a Hill.

I realized that the glitter I added didn't show very well in the picture, but if you look closely, you can see it! :)  For this, I stamped and colored Waddles with Copics before fussy cutting him out.  I did add some sparkly fluff to his hat for added texture.  For the main card, I used a metallic gold card stock for the back panel before matting in black a white card stock which I airbrushed the sky with my copics for a soft look .  The houses were placed on top of that and the hills of snow was fussy cut by me for different layers.  I popped up Waddles in the corner and finished the front with some rhinestones.

For the inside, it was a simple sentiment stamped with a grey'd out Waddles for an accent.

Be sure to stop over at the Your Next Stamp Blog to comment on all the fabulous creations made by the team.  One random person will be chosen to win a YNS stamp set of your choice!!

Thanks for stopping in and have a great Sunday!

For my first project, I made a shaker card using the new, fun set called Santa's Helpers.

I stamped the image and colored it in with Copics before adding some Smooches ink to the snow and some glitter for added sparkle.  The pom pom of the hats and the hem of the Santa suit has some sparkly fluff for softness. Here is a close up:

I stamped the sentiment to the bottom and the other cute waddles to the outside of the window.  The inside has a few sequins and stars as the shaker parts.

My second cars is one made with the set Sandy Squirrel Autumn Greetings and the coordinating dies.

I used the newest Mojo Monday sketch for this layout while coloring the image with Copics and cutting it out with coordinating die.  The back layers were cut using the YNS stitched rectangle nesting dies and the plain and stitching circle dies.  The leaves are added elements along with the new yummy gumdrops.

How would you like to win a $25 gift certificate to YNS? All you have to do is hop along and comment and a random person will be chosen! Your Next Stamp October Sneak Peek!!

That right! It's time for Your Next Stamps October sneaky peeks!  This release is such cuteness overload ready for your holiday creations.

My sneak peek is using the set called Jingle All The Way. I just love the reindeer all tied up in lights! Isn't that how we end up looking when putting up the Christmas lights? :) To add a bit more lights to the look, I added a string from the new string of lights die.

I stamped the image and colored it in with Copics before cutting it out with the die.  The patterned paper is from Lawn Fawns Snowy Day.  I stamped the sentiment directly onto the patterned paper before finishing it up with some ribbon and Wink of Stella on the lights around the antlers.

Be sure to stop by the YNS Blog to see all the fun sneaky peeks and to get your list ready for buying these fab goodies! Thanks so much for stopping by and hope you have a great Wednesday!

I Mustache you... TCPTUES301

Happy Tuesday everyone!

It is another TCPTUES challenge and it is anything goes.  For my project, I went on the masculine side and brought out the fun Mustache set and coordinating dies to make for a fun mustache topper card.

I kept the card CAS and black and white.  For the topper, I used the large mustache die to cut only half of the top card and added another full mustache cut out in black card stock to be placed over it.   Here is a side view:

I also made sure when cutting the base, when folded, it would still fit into an A2 size envelope. The sentiment was stamped in the center and the card was finished with some black twine, enamel dots, and the bottom was punched out using a We R Memory Keepers punch.   This stamp set is always fun and makes for great masculine cards.

Your Next Stamp Friday Challenge Project

Happy Friday!

This was a very busy week for me following an out of town business trip, that I was happy to get crafty for a bit during some free time.  It's time for another YNS Friday Challenge and I couldn't help but pull out the newest release of Waddles Trick or Treat to put with the current sketch.

It's very CAS, but with this sketch, you can't help but make a card CAS.  I have also realized that purple is a hard color for me to take a picture of.  I never seemed to get a good shot.  Anyway, for this card, I used some patterned paper from Doodlebug & Co. while Waddles was colored with Copics and cut out using the coordinating dies.  The '31' was also cut out using the new coordination die set of Tricky Tonic and the sentiment was embossed and made to look a bit like chalkboard embossing for a non-clean look.  The card was finished using Spellbound gumdrops.

Be sure to stop by the YNS challenge blog to play along and link up for your chance to win!! Thanks for stopping by and have a great holiday weekend!
