Oh Puck! - Your Next Stamp Friday Challenge

It's Friday! Yippee! I hope you have something fun planned if the weather for you will be as good as it will be here. Sunny and warm... nothing more I could ask for.  But if you don't have anything planned and want to be crafty, Your Next Stamp has a new color and sketch challenge you can play along with.  If you upload your project to the YNS Blog, you will have a chance to win a YNS gift certificate.  And who doesn't like that?

I am sharing with you card made with the Sports Fanatics Set One.  This is such a great sports set. I couldn't resist using the hockey puck image for a belated birthday card. The sassy sentiment is perfect too!

The image was stamped with the YNS Grey Stone ink and colored in with Copics.  It was then cut out using the coordinating die set to be popped up.  The patterned paper is one from MME with some yellow cardstock over that.  The main sentiment was stamped directly onto the yellow cardstock while the tagline was inked and stamped separately at the bottom. The card was finished with some black matte gumdrops.

Be sure to check out the other fun creations the DT has done and we hope you play along! Hope you have a great weekend!

The Cat's Pajamas April New Release Blog Hop

Did you catch all the awesome creations the Kitty Cat Pack shared with you yesterday? Well, the time is here for you to hop along in this new release blog hop and purchase all your favorites! Best of all, Alma has brought back for a limited time Hola! perfect for your margarita loving friends and Cinco de Mayo celebrations.  Not only is it the new release blog hop, but it's the first day of the Spring customer blog hop.

For my card, I created one with the Hola! set and by using the new Clouds and Balloon Cut Ups, I was able to reverse it to so it would give the look of mountain tops when sponged in.

The three amigos were stamped and colored in with Copics.  To make the ground, I used the new Watercolor Basics set to give the look of rocks or sand.  The card was finished off with some twine and the sentiment stamped directly onto the panel.

Are you

Just for hopping along and leaving a little love, you have a chance to win a $10 gift certificate to the TCP store.  You don't want to miss that!  Thanks for hopping in today.  You should be headed over to Brenda's blog here.  Have a great Tuesday!

Welcome Little One - Your Next Stamp - Feature Day

It's Feature Day over on the YNS Blog and it's full of baby cuteness! The theme this month the DT worked on is Baby.  So if you are looking for a little inspiration for a little one who may be arriving soon, look no further than the YNS Blog.

For my card, I am using one of my favorite sets called Woodland Cuties.  This set is so versatile to use for either babies or just a fun, cute, and whimsical project.  You really won't be disappointed with it and you may find yourself grabbing for it for multiple projects you may be creating.

I started with a baby blue cardstock base to layer it with a white background before adding in some pink cardstock at an angle.  Using some YNS Hugs and Kisses patterned paper to create the tag, I cut that out using the new release set of Cool Tags Four.  The image was colored with Copics before cutting it out with the coordinating die set and popping it up with some foam adhesive. I placed that tag at a bit of an angle after adding some yellow ribbon.  A blue cs strip was added to a scallop border that I used my decorative scissors for. The sentiment was stamped directly onto the blue strip and the card was completed with a few Hey Baby gumdrops.

We hope you take the time to stop by the YNS Blog to see all the wonderful creations the team has created.  If you leave a little love, you have a chance at winning a stamp set of your choice! Hope your Saturday is warm and dry! Rainy and comfortable here, but I sure wish it was sunny!

New Release - The Cat's Pajamas

Happy Saturday friends!

The Cat's Pajamas Stamps has a super fun release you will want to take advantage of! There are so much cuteness perfect for this time of year and Cut Up's that help accent your project.

For my first card, I couldn't help but make a fun, cloudy scene with the new set of Bunnies in Flight and Cut Ups of both the new release of Clouds and Balloon and Stitched Clouds. Copics were used to color in the image and popped up over the cloud border.  I used some patterned paper for the sky and stamped the sentiment directly onto the front panel.  It was finished with some rhinestones. For my second card, I am using the set of Watercolor Basics to create the background and the new Live, Love, Laugh Cut Up for the sentiment over it.  A CAS card but I really like how it turned out.

Thanks so much for popping in to take a peek and hope you stop by the TCP store to pick up your favorites! And in case you haven't heard, the set Hola! is back by demand for a limited time! This is perfect for your Cinco de Mayo festivities.  Hope you have a great weekend!

There were so many options with these new sets, it was easy to create a few things quickly.

As you can see, there are many fun new items you can find in the YNS store.  I hope you check them all out to jumpstart your creativity this month.  Thanks so much for stopping to take a peek! Have a great Monday!

Watercolor Birthday - Your Next Stamp Challenge

Happy Friday!
I am finally back after a bought of strep and other health issues that kept me from being able to do my crafty thing!  Your Next Stamp recently had a release with so many fabulous stamp sets and dies that you don't want to miss but I was unable to participate in that release due to my illness.  However, I will be sharing with you on Monday what I have created now, so I hope you will be back to check them out then!

In the meantime, I am sharing with you a card I made for the current YNS sketch and color challenge.  I have used both the sketch and the colors to create this watercolor image using the new Sweet Hummingbird Set.  Isn't it just beautiful?!

So while this set is beautful, my watercoloring has a little work I think! hahaha... I love to watercolor, but it is still a learning curve for me, but I thought with this great open lined stamp, it was perfect to test that watercoloring out on.  Using some watercolor paper by Canson, I stamped the image and used my Zig watercolor pens to create the look on the image.  Keeping that the focus, I used the color scheme on the panels from the sketch.  I finished the card with some gumdrops and stamped the sentiment directly onto the image panel.

We hope you will be able to play along in the challenge and link your creation to the challenge blog for your chance to win! And be sure to stop by Monday to see my new release creations! Thanks for stopping by and hope you have a great weekend!
