The Cat's Pajamas Stamps July Release and Blog Hop

It's time! Time for The Cat's Pajamas Stamps July new release and blog hop! We are not done yet and still have a few more projects to share with you before you head over to the TCP store with your list.

I decided to make a tuck-in card using the new set of  Oh Buoy and the super fun Scallop border CutUps.  I thought it would be a nice touch to have the card open and close from behind the scallop.

I used the Liners CutUps for the road while the image was stamped and colored in with Copics to be cut out and popped up over the road.  The scallop CutUp was cut and placed just behind the road but only adhered at the bottom.  This a little delicate to leave as is, so I did place a piece of heavy cardstock behind it and cut it out to match the style. I finished the card by stamping a few birds in the background and added the sentiment directly onto the front panel.  The second picture is of the card open.

Be sure to hop over to Lynn's blog to see what fabulous creation she has to share.  Thanks for stopping in!

July Sneaky Peek - The Cat's Pajamas Stamps

It's sneaky peek week with the Cat's Pajamas Stamps and today is mine and Michele's day to share with you a few fun creations!  I hope you have been checking out the other Cat Pack's creations every day and making your list for release day - you won't be disappointed!

For my first sneak, I am using the new set of Critter Camp and the new Cut Up of Liners.  This cut up coordinates with the new One-Liners stamp set which is so much fun!

A while back I saw a video on Jennifer McGuire's blog on making a fun shaker with a gift card.  Since I had yet to use my new fuse tool, I thought it was a perfect opportunity to break it out and replicate something of the same thing.  I first stamped and colored in the cute critter and balloons before fussy cutting him out to place on top of the shaker.  I did line the back of the images with some plain white cardstock so the ink wouldn't show through when putting it on top of the clear bag.  I just fussy cut the image with two pieces of cardstock.  To put the shaker together, I took a larger size clear bag and cut it to size once I placed the gift card inside.  I then fused one side of it so that I could drop in sequins and beads to the inside.  Then I fused the top.  I used the new Liners Cut Up to cut out a matching band to wrap around and placed the images on top.  The sentiment was stamped and fishtailed to be placed below it.  This makes for fun gift giving and would require the recipient to cut open the shaker to get the gift out!  There are many ideas that can be used with this technique.

This second peek is a card I made using the new One Liner's stamp set and the new Arrows Cut Up.

Create some great positive thoughts using the One Liner set and making someone smile! I thought it would be fun to pick a few one-liners to all point to "create your own happiness."  I kept this one CAS to make sure the one-liners took center stage.

Are you

Christmas in July - Your Next Stamp Feature Day

It's this month's Your Next Stamp Feature Day and we are having Christmas in July!   It's never too early to get some ideas for the holiday season and the YNS DT is here to share their fabulous creations.

I decided to make a shaker window card using the super fun and cute Merry Mouse Joyful Greetings.

Using the Square Piercing Die set from YNS, I cut out the window on the card base and cut out a matching panel for the inside to place over the window for a cleaner look.  I colored and cut out with the coordinating dies this adorable image to be popped up over the window partially after adding a small strip of patterned paper to the bottom.  I finished the outside of the card by adding some small gold star sequins throughout.  To create the window, I used a small clear envelope to add the sequins and closed it up using my heated fuser tool.

Here is the inside:

The inside was layered with a red cardstock panel heat embossed in white the sentiment from the set.  Again, a few gold star sequins were added to finish it.

Be sure to stop by the YNS Blog to see all the wonderful Christmas creations and don't forget to leave a little love.  A random comment will be chosen and you could win a stamp set of your choice! Thanks for stopping in and hope you have a great Sunday!

Hello - Your Next Stamp Friday Challenge

Happy Friday!

It's always nice to be at the end of the week and have a weekend to look forward to.  Hopefully, you all have a great one planned.

Since it's Friday, it is time for another YNS Friday challenge.  Of course I took the sketch to create this CAS card using just patterned paper and dies.

Using some YNS Geometric paper and Scripty Words die, I was able to create this fun and colorful card.  I started by cutting the base and patterned paper with the Stitched Rectangle dies and adding some fun green ric rack ribbon to connect it.  I popped up a small piece of yellow cardstock to add the scripty hello on top which I actually stacked 4 hello cutouts for added dimension. The card was complete with a few fun gumdrops

Be sure to stop by the YNS Blog to see more of what the DT members have created with either the sketch or color challenge.  We hope you play along in the challenge and link your creation on the  YNS Challenge blog for your chance to win!  Thanks for stopping by and hope you have a great weekend!

TCPTUES348 - Outdoors

Happy Tuesday kitty cats! It the last 2 weeks to join the Cat Pack in this months challenge of Summer.  Of course, there are so many ideas of what you can create to play along in this challenge. And there are so many adorable sets in the TCP store perfect for it as well! For me, Summer always includes the beach, so that is exactly what I needed to create.

For my card, I am using the Beaches Cut Ups and some images from the newly released set of  Penguin Summer.

After cutting out the images to be popped up on the beach, I added some Flower Soft "Sand" around them for an added element.  The sentiment was stamped directly onto the card base and some white accents added to the letters using my white gel pen. Using that same pen, I added some look of beach foam along the edges of the sand.  Simple and makes me want to head to the beach.

Be sure to check out the other fabulous creations from the Cat Pack on the blog and link up yours for a chance to win! Thanks for stopping by and have a great Tuesday!

Your Next Stamp DT Dare

Happy Wednesday!

This month's YNS DT dare is here and it's a fun one! Popped up is the theme and it could have been anything from foam adhesive to something as elaborate as an explosion box.  An explosion box seemed to be what resonated with many on the team and they are spectacular.  I decided to get a little tropical and use the new mini drink die and the fun Tropical Island paper collection.

Using the Stitched Square Frame die, I cut out the patterned paper to be popped up.  The drink was cut out and popped up while the sentiment was stamped directly onto the card base.  The card was completed with some fun Watermelon Party gumdrops.

Be sure to stop by the YNS Blog to see all the wonderful creations the team has done.  Thanks for stopping by and hope you have a great week!

Your Next Stamp July New Release and Blog Hop

It is time to hop! The July new release is ready for revealing and you need to be ready to write down all your favorites (if you haven't during the sneak peeks!) because Karen has an awesome discount to offer you.

For my first card, I am using the new set of Coffee Cart and its coordinating die set.  I also used the new Dot-tastic die which coordinates with the Circle Stitching Marks die set.  Of course I had to make a shaker card with this fun insert and paired it with the coffee cart.

To make this shaker I used a small clear bag to add the beads to each circle cut out and attach it to the back.  Then I popped that panel up over some yellow cardstock before popping up the images over that.  I think it needs a little sprucing and didn't realize it looks a little plain until after I downloaded my image.  Perhaps it is my summer brain at its best.

My second card is a CAS using the new set of Strike Up Some Fun.  If you have a bowler in your life, this set is perfect!

This set is also perfect for a bowling party as well! Plenty of fun images and sentiments that can be extended in making favors along with an invitation.

I mentioned a discount... how about 20% OFF your ENTIRE ORDER? How awesome is that?

Be sure to use the code above when placing your order.  Thanks for hopping in!

Your Next Stamp July New Release Sneak Peek

The time has come for the Your Next Stamp July new release sneak peeks! As always, Karen has another fabulous release full of fun and cute sets for so many crafty ideas.

For my sneak, I am using the new set of Happy Hour.  There are coordinating dies, but I manually cut my images to create a partial die cut scene.

If you know me, you know I love a CAS card.  I couldn't resist using these images to make one.  Once I partially cut the images, I popped the stip up at the bottom of the card base.  The sentiment was stamped directly onto the card base ready for the giving.

Be sure to stop by the YNS Blog to see all the wonderful sneak peeks and come back tonight for the full release and blog hop! You don't want to miss it all and have a chance at winning a YNS gift certificate! Thanks so stopping by here and hope you all have a great Saturday!

Unicorns Rock - Your Next Stamp Friday Challenge

It's another Friday challenge over on the YNS challenge blog and once again, it's a great sketch that leaves so many possibilities when creating a card.

I decided to use the ever so fun set of Unicorns Rock.  Even though this sketch is simple and gives you multiple options of what to do with it, I made my card really simple.  That is because I had every intention of making this card during the week but the kids and I decided on an impromptu beach getaway to our friends in NC.  We are so happy we did, but it left me throwing in a few crafty things to take along, so in a way, it was my own challenge of limited supplies! :)

I don't think I ever get tired of coloring in these cute unicorns. They are so much fun to color.  Once I did, I cut her out and her rockin' stereo with the coordinating dies and popped it up while the sentiment is stamped directly onto the cardstock.

Be sure to stop over to the YNS Blog to see all the fab creations some of the DT members have made this week.  Thanks for popping in and have a great Friday!
