Lucky to Know You - Your Next Stamp Friday Challenge

Happy Friday!

Today is a Your Next Stamp challenge project that we hope you join us for! You can click here for all the rules and fun prizes you can win.

I couldn't help but pull out some fun St. Patrick's theme sets from YNS and settled with this fun shamrock from the set of Irish Hello and the coordinating die set.

For this, I used some Canson water color paper for the background of the green spot made with my Sai watercolor pens.  Once that was dry, I used some rainbow combo washi tap to strip as the diagonal and popped up the shamrock over that.  I cut out the shamrock with the coordinating die before using my MISTI to stamp the image.   Fun Faces was used for the face and the sentiment from Irish Hello was stamped directly onto the main layer.  I decided to add some gold foil to the top using some score tape and the foil for some added shimmer. The card was completed with some Gold Nugget gumdrops.

Don't forget to stop by the YNS Blog to see all the wonderful DT creations and hope you play along with us! Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!!

  2. If you want to play along you just upload your design to The Cat's Pajamas blog page using the InLinkz button by the Monday, 11:55 EST before the next challenge.
  3. You are not required to use a Cat’s Pajamas stamp or die on your project but if you have them we would love to see them.
  4. On the following TCP Tuesday, the winner will be chosen from the previous challenge and will receive a Cat Cash Voucher for $10 or $15 if a TCP product is used.

For my card, I did a little water coloring using the set of Seas the Birthday.  This set is so beautiful and can be colored with many variations.

For this card, I started with some Canson water color paper to use my distress inks on.  Once i had the colors how I wanted them, I quick dried it with my heat tool before stamping the image directly on top of the water colors.  I stamp on some white cs the hat to be colored in with Copics and cut out to be popped up on his head.  I completed the look by adding some clear Wink of Stella over the seahorse and highlighting some spots with my white gel pen before making a dotted background with my Copics.  Some rhinestones were added for a finishing touch.  This panel was matted with some turquoise cs which I used some decorative scissors for the end and matted that to a black cs base.  The sentiment was stamped directly onto the watercolor paper.

We sure hope you stop by the TCP Blog to see all the beautiful creations some of the Kitty Cat's have made.  Don't forget to link up your project if you play along on the TCP Blog InLinkz.  Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great Tuesday!

Your Next Stamp Feature Day - Coffee and Friends

Hello crafty friends!

It has been quiet along my blog lines, but it has been a very busy sport season for my boys and it has kept me running.  One son plays travel basketball and they just ended the season undefeated (14-0) and now we are headed to the playoffs.  My other son plays Lacrosse and has finished a winter league and gearing for the normal Spring season.  Now that the meat of the season is done, I hope to getting crafty more often!

Today is Feature Day over on the YNS Blog with the DT and the theme is Coffee, Tea, You and Me. YNS has an awesome line of coffee/tea and friendship stamps that this theme was easy to accomplish.  The only difficulty was deciding which set to use! :)  For my project, I am using Java Geek to create a little gift of coffee to a friend.

For this, I placed two K-Cups into a small plastic bag which I added two different tulle colors for the bow topper. The tag attached was made using the YNS Banner die set and some patterned paper from AC.  I stamped the images and colored them with Copics before cutting them out to be popped up onto the tag.  For the sentiment, I stamped it on the large 3D banner die and finished it with two coffee beans stamped from the Coffee Rings set. When it comes to coffee, I have so many ideas that tend to float through my mind for gifty ideas. It's one of my favorite gift giving ideas.

Be sure to head to the YNS Blog to see all the wonderful creations the DT have made. You will be inspired to make someone's day with a sweet card or gift! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Red Sweet Day - Your Next Stamp DT Dare

It's time for a dare. A YNS DT Dare! This months dare is to Paint the Town Red.  The DT have some awesome projects to share so you want to be sure to check them out.

For my card, I decided to create a background using my Copic airbrushing system and some stencils sprayed with alcohol to make for a interesting look. Once dried, I topped it with a few sprays of my Picket Fence Distress Stains.  For the main images, I used the new release set of Sprinkles-Sugar Rush.

To cut the images out, I used the coordinating die set to run them through my Vagabond and pop them up over the sprayed background.  The sentiment is stamped directly onto the top layer and finished with some Cupid gumdrops.

Be sure to stop by the YNS Blog to see all the wonderful creations by the DT as I mentioned earlier.  Thanks so much for taking a peek at my creation and wish you all a wonderful week

Your Next Stamp February Release Blog Hop

It's Blog Hop time crafters! That's right... it's the Your Next Stamp February Release!

This set I am about to share is the perfect one for those of you who have some sport playing kids, grand kids, or just plain love sports.  What's great is that this is only set one of the series! That means there is another set. But you will need to hop along to see! :)  This set is Sports Fanatic 1.

This is a CAS card to showcase the cute basketball image.  I had the thought that I wanted him to be hanging off the edge of something, so I made the background to be an off center piece of card stock and "hung" the basketball from the corner.  The sentiment is embossed and I left a little of the embossing powder throughout to add a little more element to the front.  I used the coordinating die set to cut the image out after coloring him in with Copics.

For the second card, I used Coffee is the Boss set.  Perfect to use for the telling the truth... yep! It really is the boss!

Using the soon to be released die of the Doily Trio set, I used the middle size doily to place in the background before stamping the image on the center layer and coloring it in with Copics.  The sentiment was stamped directly onto the main panel and card base.

Before you hop off to check out the fabulous projects, keep in mind this sweet deal Karen is offering for the release.  I have to say she always offers up a generous discount or deal for the new release.  Not too many companies do that, so snatch up what you like while you can on a deal!

Don't forget to leave a little love on each of the blogs as you hop for your chance to win a $25 gift certificate to the YNS Store! A random winner will be chosen on February 10th.

Your Next Stamp February Sneak Peek

Hello!!

It's finally time to share with you all the February sneak peek for Your Next Stamp.  As usual, this release is full of cuteness and fun. You will love seeing all the fabulous designs the team has put together for this release.

For my sneak, I am sharing with you a set that of course, being the coffee addicted person I am, had to be coveted by moi and used.  This set is called Coffee is the Boss. Because it is really... :)

I created this card on a 5.5x5.5 base and some patterned paper from MME.  Using the new to be released Doily Trio 2, it made for the background to lay my images against.

I used YNS 'Fancy Coffee' die to complete the sentiment  once I popped up the colored images to the doily.  The card was complete using some Cupid Gumdrops.

Be sure to stop by the YNS Blog to see all the DT creations and be sure to come with your pad of paper and pen to jot down the wonderful sets you intend to buy! Thanks for stopping in and have a wonderful weekend!
