Feature Day with Your Next Stamp

Has Monday arrived yet again? Hopefully, many of you are already on holiday break and relaxing from the hustle and bustle! :)   Good news for this Monday... It's YNS Feature Day blog post where you have a chance to win a stamp set of you choice just by commenting on the YNS Blog!  How easy is that?!

For my feature post, I am using the Holiday Cheers set and some mini bags to create a gift card holder.

And here is the whole project open:

For the inside, I first measure a piece of cardstock that would fit inside the bag and then measured where the gift card would sit on that cardstock.  Using my craft knife, I cut the slits and placed the gift card in to be sure it fit properly.  I then used the fun stitched line die to line the edges of the cardstock and stamped the sentiment on top.  For the pull tab, I used the banner die from the Seasons Whatnots set and cut it in half so that the fishtail was at the top.  Then to complete the look, I used the Gingerbread house die for the gingerbread man and bow to finish it off.  I set it to the side and worked on the outside.

Using the open scallop die, I cut a piece of patterned paper from Pink Paislee with it for the base layer.  I cut out the mug with the Holiday Cheers coordinating dies before stamping the image on top.  Copics were used to color in the image.  The sentiment was stamped on the banner die cut out from the Seasons Whatnots collection before popping up the image and sentiment, as well as the snowflake from the same collection. The look was completed with a few gumdrops in Pine green and Hollyberry.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you were inspired a  little for any last minute gift giving you may have.  Don't forget to stop by the YNS blog to leave a comment and have a chance to win!!

Holiday Cheers - Your Next Stamp

Happy Friday!

I wanted to pop in to share with you my Friday Fun Project with Your Next Stamp using the newest release of Clink.  This is a versatile set that you an use for the holidays, wedding, or birthday.  I made this card for Christmas.

This card was made using both the stamp set and coordinated Clink die.  I also decided that it would be fun to use the file card die as well for the background sentiment.  This die actually coordinates with the fun recipe set.  The patterned paper is from Pink Paislee  while the image was stamped on Neenah cardstock and colored in with Copics.  I added some Wink of Stella to the bubbles and sparkles for the sparkle and popped it up over the file.  The sentiment is stamped directly onto the file and the card was completed with some twine and a button.  All you can find in the YNS store

Stop by the YNS blog for more inspiration from the DT, as well as the current challenge going on.  Thanks so much for stopping in and hope you have a great weekend!

Clink! Happy New Year! - Your Next Stamp DT Dare

Hello everyone!
I hope you are having a nice week. Did you hop along with YNS with the newest release? Were the projects just fabulous? Not to mention this release had so many fun images and dies as always.  Karen always seems to know how to keep us all wanting more every month.

Today is the DT Dare and it's Anything Goes!  Again, the YNS DT outdid themselves again with the amazing projects.  For mine, I used the new release set of Clink! to make this New Year's card.  I love the simplicity of black and a metallic color, so I did just that using black and gold.

I used the coordinating Clink! die to cut out the image and left it uncolored with the exception of the streamers and bubbles.  I colored those in with my Wink of Stella Metallic pen in gold.  I then used some gold metallic cardstock to make a tag to be my layer for the image which is popped up.  The card was completed with some ribbon, large eyelet, some rhinestones, and the sentiment on the YNS 3D Banner die.  Simple and elegant- perfect for the New Year.  I can't believe it's the New Year in just a few weeks.... oy! The year went by too fast.

Now! Don't forget to stop by the YNS blog as Karen always pick a lucky commenter to win a stamp set. Who doesn't want that?! Check out the fab projects, be inspired, and create!!! Have a great Thursday!

December New Release Blog Hop - Your Next Stamp

Whoo hoo!  It's release time at Your Next Stamp.  November's release was such a huge hit thanks to all of you, that I am pretty sure you will love this months too.  This release has so many super FUN sets and I will have to say that I cannot pick just one favorite.  However, the set of Boom which my projects will feature is certainly in my top 3!

With this set of Boom, I could not resist making an explosion box card to feature this with.  I actually was able to use everything in the set.  Usually, there are just a few go-to images or sentiments, but this set has so many uses.  I stamped the images on top of the cut outs from the coordinating Boom die set before coloring them in with Copics.  I assembled the box according to instructions found on SCS and even adding a few fire end pieces on some acetate to make them wobble and move a bit when the box is open.  The sentiment on the inside was made to look like a bomb which I made using a round die and making the top portion myself.  Here is the closed box and sentiment:

This box does lie flat and will fit into a standard A2 envelope.  A super fun project to make with this set.

For my second project, I couldn't resist using Boom as a tag for some bath bombs.  Perfect for teachers or friends who would enjoy these relaxing items.

Again, I used the coordinating die and stamped the bomb image over it.  I colored it with Copics and made a tag for it to be popped up on.  The sentiment background explosion was hand cut and also popped up. I added some ribbon to complete the look and is ready for giving!

Don't forget to leave a comments throughout the hop for your chance to win $20 to YNS!!  And don't think we've left out an awesome gifty to share with you... Check it out!

Come shop for your favorite new releases and save 30%.  You can't beat that deal. Now, don't forget to comment along the way and check out the other fabulous projects the DT has in store!

Sneaky Peek - Your Next Stamp December Release

Happy Saturday YNS crafters!

Today begins the fun sneak peeks from the YNS DT for the December release! This release is so much fun with different images to end the year and begin the new year. Not to mention the fun new dies too!

For my peek, I am using the adorable new set called Little Darling Aspen.  This set is just. too. cute!

I created this card with putting it to scenery to it using the new die called Houses on a hill.  Another fabulous, fun die.  Putting this card together, I first embossed the first layer (which is the same size as the base, A2) with my Darice snowflake embossing folder.  With some scrap blue cardstock, I hand cut the "river."  I then hand cut the snow bank on the bottom to be placed along the river.  For the houses, I first cut the houses on white cardstock, then took pieces of scrap colors to attach to the houses and trees with some washi tape to have some color.  I used some Mono-adhesive to attach the color houses/trees to the white cutouts.  Then, I decided with where I wanted to place them, I needed to detach them from the line up.  Using glue, I glued them in place.  The image was colored with Copics and cut out to be popped up on the river with foam adhesive.  The look was completed by adding some snow to the tops of the houses and trees with a white gel pen, some rhinestones, and finally, I used my Wink of Stella pen to color in the river for sparkle.  Here is a close up:

It is definitely a hard look to photograph on a rainy day like we had here, but I think I got it in. :)  Thanks for stopping in and taking a peek! Be sure to stop by the YNS blog to see more peeks from the DT! You won't be disappointed. Have a great Saturday!

Just Roll With It - YNS Friday Fun Project

TGIF!

I hope you all had a good week and now ready for a great weekend.  I know I am!

I decided to step away from Christmas for today's Friday Fun Project for YNS and create a card using the fun Recipe Card set, paired with the Sugar and Spice Apron die.

This set is a perfect one if you are making recipe cards to give as gifts for the holiday to where you are able to personalize them and make it how you want it.  For this card, I used the current sketch over at YNS tweaked just a bit.  The patterned paper is an oldie from October Afternoon, that I can't remember the name! For the apron, I cut it out in some scrap SU! Soft Sky cardstock and then cut it again in some scrap yellow to paper piece it together.  I completed the look by adding some ric rack ribbon for the sash and some pearls for that girlie touch. :)   For the sentiment, I used bits of two sentiments from the set so that it can say, "Life... Just roll with it." Did you notice the fun perforated edge? That's a new fun die called Tiny Stitches and it is just so fun to create with it! Check it out in the store... you won't be disappointed.  Especially at the reasonable price!  The center scallop circle is from the Open scallop die set. I used a fun pearl flourish for the finishing touch before popping up the card and apron.

Thanks so much for stopping in today and be sure to check back here tomorrow- I will have a sneaky peek of one of YNS December release you don't want to miss!! Have a great Friday!

Quick Gift Cards - Party Time Tuesday

Happy Tuesday!

I hope you all have a nice warm day today... it is cold today here with a bit of sleet and snow. After yesterday being so warm!  It's like Mother Nature doesn't know if she wants to stay in Autumn or just go right into Winter.  Either way, I wish she would make up her mind! :)

Have you checked out this  month's sponsor over at Party Time Tuesday? It's Artistic Adventure and her Etsy shop is full of fun vintage style digi tags and images to make your holiday card making a cinch!

Here I made a quick gift card using vintage Christmas tags and the image printed beautifully! I cut the image out, matted it against some black and popped it up against some Anna Griffin patterned paper.  The tag was finished with some seam binding ribbon, sheer ribbon, pearls, and floral spray to make for this vintage style gift card.

We hope you come play along as it is Anything Goes and you get a chance to win some fun stuff from Artistic Adventure! Thanks so much for popping in and have a great Tuesday!

Christmas Night - Party Time Tuesday

It's another week of winners and a new challenge over at Party Time Tuesday.  I recently got some new caroler dies from Impression Obsession that I wanted to  break out and use for my project this week. Not to mention I broke out my Copic airbrushing system too! Using the airbrush, I was able to create an evening sky perfect for a few carolers.

To create this scene, I used The Cat's Pajamas holiday topper dies for the back ground by first cutting out on white cardstock the entire scene.  I then went back over it with a few pieces of scrap cardstock on the trees, barn, and silos to be glued on top of the first scene cut out.  Using more white cardstock, I hand cut the two remaining hills of snow to complete the look.  The sky was created by using a 1 1/4" circle as my mask for the moon and using my airbrush to create a dusk sky.  I used some foam adhesive for the hills to give it some dimension and then popped up the carolers as well over that.  The look was completed by using my white gel pen to add to the tops of the trees, barn, silos, and sky as snow.  I also used my Sakura clear glitter pen and dotted the sky for some "stars." Some glitter and Stickles were added to the tops of the snow banks for a little added sparkle.

Have you heard that Party Time Tuesday is having a DT Call? Be sure to check it out because it is one of the easiest teams you will be part of! Looking for a lighter load on DT commitments? This call is for you!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great Tuesday!

Christmas Joy! Feature Day with Your Next Stamp

Happy Saturday everyone!

Are you ready to win a stamp set of your choice?! Who wouldn't be? Today is the feature day blog post over at YNS and all you have to do is comment for your chance to win!

The DT was challenged to make our features wintery or Christmas themed and what a perfect chance for me to play with the new YNS Gingerbread House die set!  Have you seen it? It is amazing and so many ideas of what you can make with it.

I kept my card CAS to showcase the dies to make for a fun and simple card.  I did add a little white gel pen to the top of the chimney, windows, and wreath, as well as some Wink of Stella to the all the snow.  The sentiment was a bit of wordsmith-ing using the new Little Darling Jack set stamped on the banner from the Whatnot Seasons die collection.  The card was finished off with some Pine Green Gumdrops.

We hope you head over the YNS blog and check out all the fun projects the DT have created! Make it a great Saturday!

Windy Fihona - Your Next Stamp Friday Fun Project

Happy Friday!
I hope you all had a great week despite the cold snap we all got.  Although for those of you living in the north, I hope you stay indoors and warm! With this cold snap here in VA, there was the wind.  If there are two weather patterns I dislike, it would be wind and cold. :) So, with those patterns hitting here this week, I couldn't resist using Windy Day Fhiona.

I also used this sketch and color challenge from the YNS blog.

The image was stamped and colored in with Copics and the patterned paper is from Doodlebug & Co.  This sketch was a perfect match to showcase Fhiona while the colors are fantastic match to the season.  The sentiment is from the new release of Little Darling Jack and the fun leaves are from the Whatnots Seasons die collection.  And then a final touch of some Gumdrops to finish off the sentiment. If you like this image, hurry and catch it on YNS under the retiring stamps section.  Yes... she is sadly retiring, so quickly snatch her up! Especially at the price it is at. What a bargain!

Thanks so much for stopping by and hope you have a warm, wonderful day!

Dashing Through the Snow - Your Next Stamp DT Dare

Happy Wednesday!

Did you enjoy the newest release from Your Next Stamp? There are so many fun sets that the DT is ready to show you more creations.  Now it is the time for the DT Dare... and that dare is to create using red, white, and green.

I am using Little Darling Jack. I just love it and love it more when used with YNS Slider/spinner die. I created this card using the squiggle spinner die to allow Jack to travel down the hill! :) The image was stamped and colored in with Copics before cut out and the spinner put together.  I added another layer of "snow" to the bottom with a little bit of stickles for some sparkle. For the sentiment, I manipulated the stamp to follow the curves of the die cut out.  The card was finished with some rhinestones and a snowflake from the Seasons Whatnots die collection.

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to stop by the YNS blog for your chance to win a fabulous prize! Have a great day!

Give Thanks - Party Time Tuesday

Happy Veterans Day!
Today starts a new challenge over at Party Time Tuesday's blog that you don't want to miss- It's Anything Goes! I thought this card I made was perfect for some double duty with both giving thanks for the holiday and giving thanks to a veteran.

Using MFT's Falling Leaves Die-namics, I made this CAS card in the colors of the season.  After cutting out the dies, I sponged them lightly with some Tea Dye color Distress Inks and popped them up in no particular order.  Twine and a button were added and the sentiment at the bottom is from SU! Fancy Flexible Phrases. Still one of my favorite sets. Some rhinestones were added as a finishing touch.

Come check out the other fun creations the DT has put together and play along.  You can win some fabulous prizes! Thanks for stopping by and please do not forget to thank a veteran! It's because of them I can write this post to blog, enjoy my cup of coffee in peace, and live freely!

Your Next Stamp November's New Release Blog Hop

Woot woot! The time is here to hop along to see all the fabulous new stamp and die releases Your Next Stamp has in store for you this month!

There is nothing left out in this release to keep your holiday crafting mojo in check.  And just so I can help keep that holiday in check, you do know that there are only 45 (46 if you count today) shopping days until Christmas?! That doesn't even include the time you need to get your YNS created Christmas cards in the mail! ;) You're welcome...

My first project to share with you is a card made with the new release of A Cupboard Full of Seasonal Cuties.  And they are most certainly cuties!

This is a 5.5x5.5" card with the image being stamped on some X-press it cardstock and colored in with Copics.  The patterned paper is from Carta Bella's Christmas Time collection.  It is layered in red cardstock with the corners punched out to curve and the main image popped up with foam adhesive.  I stamped the sentiment directly onto the patterned paper.  The card was completed with some sheer green ribbon, a snowflake from YNS Whatnots Seasons die collection (which I am addicted to!), and a rhinestone.

My second card to share is one that is fairly simple and fun using the new Holiday Cheers stamp set.  Another fun set that has so many opportunities to created fun and simple cards.  This set also has coordinating set of dies you can purchase to make your cut outs easy.

Using a circle die, I cut out the front of the Kaisercraft patterned paper and base card to make 4 holes.  I layered the inside to have the different images stamped and colored with Copics.

The sentiment was stamped on the inside to be seen after it is opened.  The card was finished with a snowflake once again from the Whatnots Season die collection, a mini bell, and some rattail ribbon.

We hope you continue to hop along to see all the fabulous creations the DT have made, along with our guest designers.  1 random winner will receive $20 to spend in the YNS Store!

And while you are hopping along making your list, keep this great sale in mind! This should help your decision making... ;)

Thanks so much for stopping by and don't forget to leave a comment!

Your Next Stamp Holiday Cheers - November New Release Preview

Whoo hoo!  It's nearly release time at Your Next Stamp! There are so many cute stamps and the DT has put together some fabulous projects to inspire you and get your holiday crafting spirit in line.

The holiday season always has me cranking out tags ready for gift giving and my preview is just that!

Now this is not just an ordinary tag.  Using the YNS small tear away tab die, it gives the recipient a fun sentiment surprise as well! This tag is perfect wrapped around some yummy hot chocolate gifts and candy canes.  This new set is called Holiday Cheers and has some coordinating dies for perfect cut outs of the different glasses.  Using the YNS 3-D banner die, I was able to add the sentiment to the top of the tag for some added fun visual element.  Patterned papers are from the Lawn Fawn Snowy Day collection, while the image is colored in with Copics. The tag is finished with some ribbon, red and green YNS Gumdrops, and snowflakes from the Whatnots Seasons set.

Here is what the inside sentiment looks like after the tear away tab is opened:

How fun is that? :) Be sure to stop by the YNS blog for more fabulous DT preview inspiration! Have a great Saturday!
