Tea... That sounds wonderful with weather like we have been having. For us here in TN, it has been cold and some days rainy, and today, sleeting and snowing. So, grab your cup of tea or coffee or choice of beverage, and lets get right to this weeks Timeless Tuesday Challenge!
Our November Guest Designer, Connie MacFarlane is not only hosting this weeks challenge, but it is also the last day she will be joining us. Her creations have been a wonderful inspiration and it was nice to see all her beautiful creations this month! Connie's challenge to you is: A little scoring, a little piercing (not piecing), and a colored image.
Putting my card together started in one direction, but then ended up in another. In the end, it all worked out and I really like the CAS look it came out having.
I started with some Flourishes Classic Cardstock in white for the base and top panel and used some brown scrap cardstock for the middle. I used the newest release of Grab a Cup (which I adore!) stamping the image onto the white cardstock with Black Memento ink and coloring it in with the following Copic colors:
I really wanted to showcase this image and make it the focus to the sentiment. The outside top layer was scored along the sides while I pierced the top and bottom of the image. I completed the look with some fabulous crochet trim which I threaded some thin velvet ribbon through the top and finished it with some twin and a button. The inside was kept as simple as the front by adding the sentiment and the image of the tea bags.
We sure hope you join us this week and link up to share your creation. Thanks for stopping in and be sure to check out the other fabulous creations by the Timeless Tuesday Team. I wish those of you in America a happy, safe, and wonderful Thanksgiving!

ReplyDeleteThis is so pretty, Deborah! I love the soft look of the tea cup with that pop of color in the flowers, and your paper piercing is fantastic. Did you use a stencil for that? No, we didn't channel each other this week, but I'm glad because you've inspired me to take another look at that stamp set. Hope you have a very Happy Thanksgiving! P.S. I'll email you soon about the linky thing that you mentioned a few days ago. :)
