Hello friends!
It has been awfully quiet around here lately hasn't it? If my husband were to answer that, well, I am sure he would say, "Thank you lawd!" :) No, actually, it has been quiet but it has been a busy time for our family. We are getting ready to move this Summer, put our house on the market this month, and I just got back scoping our soon-to-be-new home-state; house hunting, school hunting, and just getting a feel of the area. Exhausting thinking about moving, but exciting times for us! With all that has been going on and of course spending time in a large metal tube, zooming through the skies, I have contracted the going around cold and chest congestion. Ugh! Definitely not the way I wanted to start my week! But...
It is Tuesday and that means another Timeless Tuesday challenge! Woot! The ever so talented Cheryl is our hostess this week and it is a wonderful one!
For someone who loves CAS projects and simplicity, I was super excited to do this challenge. However, I found it rather... well.... challenging! HA! I kept wanting to reach for my Copics. What is this challenge I speak of? Here it is:
No coloring!! So many ideas you can do with this one, but for whatever reason, I was stuck on this idea I had for my card.
I used Lots of Thoughts for the main image, starting with some kraft cardstock and some Flourishes classic cardstock in ivory and rounded the edges. I sponged in some clouds using a scallop punch out of scrap cardstock and some Memento inks. The image was stamped on kraft cardstock with Memento espresso truffle and potters clay for the banner, and fussy cut out. I popped it up over the clouds and added more clouds cut with some dies and sponged with more Memento ink. I finished the card with some seam binding ribbon and a fun button I found in my stash.
Thank you so much for taking the time to stop in and hope you all have a great Tuesday! Don't forget to check out the other fabulous creations of the Timeless Tuesday team!
Deborah, this card is fantastic! Maybe all that time in planes made you want to use a plane on your card. ;) I just love the way the clouds float around the plane, and that beautiful red bow with the big button balances the card perfectly! I really thought this was going to be an easy challenge, LOL, but I had problems with it, too! Embossing powder fail, big time! Have a great week!
