Who's That Birthday Girl?

Hi there!! Happy Saturday! I hope it is being enjoyed by all...

Today I am going to show you a sneak peek of MFT's soon to be released Who's That Birthday Girl on March 3. I received it through my VIP buying, cause I'm such a VIP! LOL!! I'm really not, but I wanted to say that!!

This a great birthday set to include number candles, regular candles, and sentiments. For this card, I paper pieced the cake using the same dp as the main panel. This dp is from Basic Grey's Porcelain Collection. I used my MS border punch for the side scallop and the yummy ribbon from my VIP collection from MFT. I colored in the image with my Koh-I-Noor pencils and odorless minerals spirits and then sponged around the image with SU! Pink Pirouette to soften up the white. I added some Crafty Sparkles to the bottom of her dress and little around the sentiment for, well, some sparkle! I popped up the sentiment and finished off the card with a Prima Flower and a matching button from MFT.

Pretty simple and cute to start off the weekend!! Thanks so much for stopping by and taking a look!!

Materials Used: Basic Grey's-Windermere, MFT-Who's that Birthday Girl, Crafty Sparkles, Momento Black, Koh-I-Noor Pencils, Gamsol, SU! Pink Pirouette and Certainly Celery, Prima Flower, MFT Girly Buttons, twine, MFT ribbon, MD Border punch

An Inky Antic...

Hello everyone! Sorry for the long absence... my mother come for a last minute visit so I have spent the last few days with her. She has left now so I get my craft room back!! It's hard to share when I used to have my own craft room, but it is what it is!

I wanted to play with some new stamps I received and ink up that new rubbah! This is from Inky Antics which I purchased at Eclectic Paperie. There are some really good deals going on there so take a look!

I love the retro-ness of it and thought this paper from K&Co matched it perfectly. The inside sentiment says, "Caffeine is my friend." For me, that is so true!! LOL!! I love my coffee!

I stamped the image with Momento Black ink on MFT's Perfect Panels and colored in the image with my Copics. When finished coloring, I added a little clear Copic Spica Pen to the bracelets, hairband, and lips for some sparkle. I then added glaze to the coffee mug and sunglasses using my Sakura Glaze pen. I used my Nestibilities for the bottom panel and popped up the image. I added some ribbon, metal accents, and a Prima flower for the finishing touch.

I hope you are having a great day and thanks so much for taking a peek!!

Materials Used: SU! Only Orange cs, Georgia Pacific cs for layering, K&Co dp, dimensionals, Spellbinders, Prima Flowers, Inky Antics, Copics, Copic Spica-clear, Sakura Glaze pen, Black Momento ink, unknown ribboon, Paper Studio metal accents, MFT Perfect Panels.

Hurry Home!

Happy Sunday everyone!

I have another darling line of stamps to show you from MFT called Jolinne. Isn't she cute?! This set is called Miss you much.

For this image, I decided to pull out my Koh-I-Noor colored pencils and Gina K odorless mineral spirits to color it in. Have you ever used Koh-I-Noor colored pencils?? Smooth and when used with your spirits... like butta!! I love them and forgot how much I did since I always tend to grab my Copics most of the time. You can purchase them at your local craft store and if you have a coupon, even better!! : ) They tend to run around $16 for a 24 pencil set. I sponged around the edges with SU! Creamy Caramel and Close to Cocoa. I used my MS lace border punch for the bottom edge and it was also used on the inside of my card. The dp is My Mind's Eye and the ribbon from HL. I also used my MS punch for the sentiment and colored a white Prima flower with my Copics to match. The image and sentiment are popped up. Below is the inside of my card:

I used a strip from the same dp and my lace punch for a decorative edge. I guess that wraps up the description of this card! Thank you so much for stopping by and taking a peek!

**A little over a week away before I kick off my exciting announcement with some awesome Blog Candy you sure don't want to miss!!**

Materials Used: MS Lace border punch, My Minds eye dp, Momento Ink-brown, Momento ink-Bamboo leaves, SU! Kraft and VV CS, Creamy Caramel and Close to Cocoa ink, MFT-Jolinne, Prima, Ribbon, dimensionals

Better Get Better Boo Boo Pack

Happy Wednesday! It's almost over for me, but not over enough to not post a project! : )

I had to share another darling image from MFT's Pure Innocence line. I couldn't resist making something that had to do with those gel packs that you can freeze- i.e. Boo Boo packs for kids. (and adults!) I had one laying around the house that I know the kids won't miss!

I made an altered criss cross envelope which I found here on SCS. An excellent way to do it if you don't want waste. I then added my dp by K&CO to the coordinating cs. I used SU! Yo Yo Yellow for the base and some scrap orange for the 2nd layer. I stamped the image with Cocoa Brown Momento Ink and colored it in with my Copics. I used my SU! Tab punch for the top tab which I added my ever-s0-underused-eyelets to that and the circle for the sentiment. I sponged around the sentiment circle with Momento Bamboo Leaves and added some twine to hang it. I had some SU! Sertainly Celery twill ribbon which I didn't care for the match of color to the dp, so I used my Copics and colored it to match. I used my long rectangular nesties for the image and popped it up. I finished it up with a Prima flower and some white metal dots.

I thought this would be a cute little something for someone who was hurt or got hurt and could use it on their "boo boo." I hope you enjoyed this fun project and I appreciate you stopping by to take a peek!

Amate Studios- MARDI GRAS!

HAPPY MARDI GRAS!
IT'S FAT TUESDAY!

What a Mardi Gras year this will be in NOLA!! With the Saints winning the Super Bowl and this yearly event, it is sure to be exciting if you are there! Get your King Cakes and beads ready!

I have an Amate Studios project to show you... the theme was Mardi Gras and I couldn't resist making a mask! I once lived in NOLA and the extravagant masks you would see at this time of the year stuck out in my mind. I used Pardo Jewelry clay to make the face and some crafting feathers to place all around. I also used micro beads, a fleur de leis brad, sequences, and Copic markers to recreate a Mardi Gras mask. The base component was a person shape so it made for this design easy! For all the complete instructions and details, visit Amate Studios and see what the rest of the design team created for this theme!!

Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek!

A+

Hello everyone!! I hope you had a great Valentines Day with your loved one and got some nice surprises! I know I did and one of them being a new camera!! Whoo hoo!! DH was obviously reading my blog! LOL!! Thank you sweetie!! I did buy myself a little Valentines present- a new Janome Sewing machine. I know DH is probably thinking, "why the heck did she buy a sewing machine? She doesn't even sew!" This is true dear, but its for crafting! (Start shaking head here....) I have been wanting one for a long time and got a really good deal so why not? {Giggle}

Today I want to share with you one of the cutest lines of stamps! It's called Pure Innocence by MFT. They are just so darn cute! They were just released so you need to head over and take a look at the whole line!! I have two more images to play with so stay tuned.

For this card, I used the largest Nestie scallop circle to make the base of the card. Then used my coordinating circles for the inner pieces. For the main image, I stamped the image on MFT's Perfect Panels in white and then paper pieced her sweater with Pink Paisley Captivating dp which I also used as a bottom circle and I used my copics to color in the remaining image. I added some Prima flowers as my finishing touch and dotted around the scallop with my white gel pen. I added some twine and SU! Mellow Moss gingham ribbon at the top. What I didn't take a picture of is the inside. I used my 1/4" circle punch to punch out the matching dp to glued them along the scallop edges and added a white cs inside.

**I am so excited to share with you all some news that will be revealed 2 weeks from today! Stay tuned and I will also have some Blog Candy to celebrate!! **

Materials used: Nestibilities, Perfect panels-MFT, Pure Innocence MFT, White gel pen, Pink Paisley-Captivating dp, SU! Pumpkin Pie cs, Zip Dry glue, Copics, Momento Ink-Black and Brown, Ribbon-SU!, Twine, Prima Flowers, mini brad

Thanks so much for stopping by!! Have a great holiday!

Make a wish

Happy Monday everyone!!
I know for those of you who got more snow, maybe not so much a happy Monday if you are digging yourself out! But I hope its still a good day for you all! : )

Today I want to share with you a simple card I made for my MIL's birthday using an embossing folder and some ink and a sponge.

I used SU! Manhattan Flowers embossing folder which I ran through the CB. I then lightly sponged over the flowers with ink and a sponge and stamped a sentiment from PTI's Mixed Messages in the top corner. I finished it off with a ribbon embellished with some self adhesive crystals. A quick and simple, yet pretty nice card for 20 minutes! lol!! The inside sentiment says Birthday celebrations.

Thanks so much for stopping by and hope you have a great day!!

Materials used: SU! Basic black, Blush Blossom, Georgia pacific white, SU! Manhattan embossing folder, sponge, Black Momento, Blush Blossom ink, ribbon, self adhesive crystals.

Pucker up!

HI everyone!!

It's nearly Valentines Day which means a few smooches here and there for everyone! And who doesn't want soft lips for it? I came across a new Chapstick product the other day which I thought would be fun to incorporate into a card. Instead of the Chapstick being in a "stick" it is in a little jar with a fun scent and a little bit of color.

I apologize for the poor picture of the close up but my camera is on it's last leg, so hopefully soon I will get a new one!! This project is basically an altered version of the pop up card by making it accommodate this little jar. There are a few steps in accomplishing this, but I don't want to bore you with ALL the details!! I will be happy to provide them to you if you contact me!!

I used Flourishes Lace Heart (just half the image) for the main image and front sentiment. The paper is both Basic Grey's Stella Ruby Collection and SU! Basic Grey cs. I used my Nestibilities for the front rectangle which the image was stamped on. I used SU! Craft white for the half heart and then embossed it with Ancient Gold ep. I used SU! scallop border punch for the top and dotted that and the main panel with my white gel pen. I then stamped the "xoxox" stamp from Fancy Flexible Phrases all around and in the center of the heart on the Chapstick jar. For the Chapstick jar: I used Paper Studio scallop punch for the top which I then placed my cut out heart from MFT's Bling 'bers set. I embellished that with some self adhesive crystals. The inside sentiment is from Lizzie Anne Designs and I finished the inside with a strip punched out using my Fiskars water threading punch and matching ribbon from the front.

This was a fun project to just play around with and look forward to giving this out for Valentines Day! I hope you all have a great weekend and thanks for stopping by!!

Amate-Give Thanks

So, as you all know, I am just a tad bit behind on my posts since November. {{giggle}} Today, will start on a little catching up of my posts starting off with Amate Studios project for November. I had the pleasure of working with them at their CHA booth doing some fun make and takes!! They have some new products releasing soon so stay tuned!

Amate Studio products are so versatile, it doesn't require using the components for jewelry. In this project, I used two small pendants and an earring set to achieve what was in my mind for this. I went to my local HL and bought a small decorative foam pumpkin that was covered in some clear beading. I had some craft wire which I cut in various lengths and poked through the top of the pumpkin, once I curled the tops of the wire. I then printed out my pictures in the sizes that I need and sealed them with some acrylic spray. This was done because I have an inkjet printer so the colors would run if not sealed. I glued the pictures to the component and filled each one with Judikins Diamond Glaze. I finished them off by outlining the charms with silver micro beads for a little decorative touch. I then hot glued some autumn buttons around the stem of the pumpkin. For the center, I stamped the sentiment with Versamark on some brown shimmer cs, embossed it, and glued it to a non-Amate Studios frame. I finished that off added a couple of buttons to that. Once the charms dried, I hung each one onto the wire! It was a rather simple project and I really enjoyed making it!

I hope you enjoyed this and I appreciate you stopping by!! Have a great day!!

A Hundred Hearts

Hi everyone!

I created a card using some new stamps I picked up while at the CHA supershow in CA. It is always nice to actually see the stamps you want from your favorite companies but in general, it was just fun having one day to just shop for craft things! lol!! This card was made using the most adorable single stamp from Taylored Exressions. The sentiment is from Lizzie Anne Designs. I just thought the two went hand in hand.

I have to giggle as I type this because my DH reads my blog, well at least I think so, and of course this card is for him! Oh well! The element of surprise is no longer, but I hope he will still like it when it actually arrives half way across the world! I stamped the image on MFT's Perfect Panels in white and colored it in using Copics. I then added some Judikin's Diamond Glaze over the hearts for both a little dimension as well as gloss. I layered the card and popped up the sentiment and image. Now, I did not have any swirl rhinestones, (Gasp!) so what's a girl to do but make her own. Hopefully it doesn't show too terribly but I just thought it went. I double layered my ribbon using some I found at the Supershow as well as some from Paperchase. I finished it off with some black metal dots from Mark Richards and some self adhesive rhinestones.

Thank you for stopping by and hope you have a great day!!

Materials used: MFT Perfect panels-white, SU! Real Red, Paper studio black, Georgia Pacific White, Taylored Expressions, Lizzie Anne Designs, Judikins Diamond Glaze, Mark Richards metal dots, self adhesive rhinestones, Dimensionals, Paperchase ribbon, unknown black ribbon.
