Lots to catch up on!
Hello everyone!! I am sorry for the long silence... I had more family visiting along with helping my son get better from his fractured foot. He is better now with no cast or wheelchair, but I still catch him from time to time limping around, as he plays hard with his friends and LOVES to run. Thank you for all your kind words and support! My company has left so I can now catch up on a few things I was unable to complete! First off...
For this card, I had this sentiment sitting on my desk for a while and thought it would go great with Carolyn King's set of Whimsical Autumn. I used the pumpkin from the set and created an easel card. The top part (the dp) flips up for a fun twist on the card. To create the easel, I used my SU! WW punch and glued them onto the card. I then colored in the main image with Copics and added some ribbon. Easy! I would have added more bling to the card, but I was limited with what I was able to take out of my stamping room since I had guests. It's so hard to decide what exactly you need ahead of time. At least for me it is because I have a tendency to change something along the way that is different to the picture in my mind.
Materials Used: K&CO autumn mat pack, Chocolate Chip, Pumpkin Pie, Palette Burnt Umber, Copics, WW Punch, ribbon, Carolyn King-Whimsical Autumn.
BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH!!!
First off, I would like to thank all of those who purchased the Alzheimer's Support bracelet last month! With your help and my match to the donation, I was able to donate $100.00 to the association. THANK YOU!!!
As you all know, October is Breast Cancer awareness month. I have a created another bracelet to show your support to this important cause and will be donating $5.00 of every sale to the American Cancer Society. (Picture and purchase on the right side of the page) This cause is near and dear to my heart as my father passed away from Cancer and I always try to do my part in helping raise awareness and money to fight this disease. This bracelet is made with sterling silver, handmade glass beads, and Swarovski Crystals. I know times right now can be tough for some, so I thank you in advance for any support you are able to give!
NAME THAT TUNE!!!!
It seems like everyone is up to playing a little fun game of naming that tune for some blog candy!! I will have that up by Monday of next week! Stay tuned!!
As always, thanks for stopping by!!!

Boys will be Boys... Oh Joy!-Sketch #65
The last two days were really crazy as one of my twins fractured his foot while playing with his friends and they jumped off a low lying chain linked fence. After all the running around, it was amazing the ordeal I have to go through in order to obtain some pediatric crutches. By 3:30 yesterday I still didn't have any and ended up with a wheelchair instead so that my son can function and at least go to school. He (my son) of course did not mind as he thinks the chair is pretty cool and all his friends can push him around. I just keep seeing hallway races in the school hall or him going down a hill and not being able to stop. LOL!! I know that is terrible to think, but you just know the thought of going fast in the chair is going through his or his friends' minds! Here is a picture of him....
BUT! On with a card!! This was made for this week's Sketches! {by Tamara} card sketch below. I decided to break out last years pack of Prima Poinsettia flowers I had and try to get into the Christmas spirit in October. This was a really simple card to make with just the Primas and Papertrey's Snowflake Serenade set for the sentiment. Thanks so much for stopping by and peeking! Don't forget to check out my fellow design teams sketch cards!!

A thought, Wedding invites, and my Anniversary!
As if my life couldn't get any busier, it always does! This past month, I have been busy helping my sister (who lives in Switzerland) plan her wedding, finding my dress, making her invites, and deciding what items would be best for favors and table arrangements. She and I have been having fun doing it all and I can say that I finished her invites on time and they are preparing to be sent out! I thought I would share her design of her invitations and thank goodness she like simplicity!! I did not argue when this is what she chose!! LOL!! It actually got easier as it went along.
We used Bravo Burgundy and Very Vanilla for her colors since she is getting married during Thanksgiving weekend in the Netherlands in a castle. We embossed the top portion with a CB folder and added some lush velvet ribbon to the bottom with a knot in representing them "tying the knot!" This invitation fits nicely into a #10 envie with a piece of vellum on top. My family and I are excited to be part of her special day in the Netherlands and can't wait for her to start her new life with her soon to be hubby!
I mentioned in my last post that I would share the anniversary card I had made for DH. I kept thinking I wanted something a little more manly and the idea of those picture boards kept coming to mind. I decided to recreate one of those board using ribbon and brads and used my nesties to cut out 7 reasons why I love dh. (For the 7 years we have been married) I just slipped them into the slots which he can take out and place them with some other sentimental things we have later if he so chooses. I also made this in a postcard style with no opening which I did not picture because I had written on the back already. It was a lot of fun creating this and doing something out of the ordinary for an anniversary card. In this picture, it looks like the ribbon sticks out in color, but really, it matches the color in the pattern of this dp. The best part? There was NO stamping involved! LOL!! All the sentiments were created using my computer.
Materials used: Going Grey, VV, Basic Grey's Ambrosia, More mustard ribbon, brads, white gel pen, computer, piercing tool, sponge, going grey ink, more mustard ink, threading water punch, anchors
NOW!! I mentioned in my title I had a thought. I am ready for another blog candy giveaway and thought it would be fun to use my love of music for this. However, I know there are a lot of people who do not enjoy visiting blogs which play music. I wanted to give heads up to all that I will be putting on one song on my blog which will only play for 30 seconds and that song will be the main reason for the giveaway. Let's play Name that Tune!! I promise that it is NOT hard rock or anything. Actually, this is something that was made in the 70's. I will have more deets to follow on this. If you feel that it is not a good idea and really don't like the thought of music, please leave me a comment and I will certainly weigh in the thoughts of all.
Thanks so much for stopping by and hope you all have a great weekend!!

Wanted-Sketch #64
This is for this weeks Sketches! By Tamara sketch #64 which is below. The whole time I was making this, I kept singing The Manhatten's song of Shining Star. "...Honey, you- are my shining star..." LOL!! I just love music, so a lot of times, I find myself singing a song that may have to do with whatever creation I may be doing!
I used the ol' retired SU! color of Cranberry Crisp for the base and My Mind's Eye for the dp which I picked up while at the winter CHA. I also dusted off my ever-so-needed SU! set of Bronc Buster for the dust and my Wanted set for the sentiment. I threaded some twine around the sentiment and on the side and then colored it in with my Copic marker for a darker brown hopefully giving a "leather" look. I cut the ovals out with my Nestibilities and popped it up along with the dust and star. The star is chipboard that was already red in color, but I used the back and distressed it a bit and highlighted it with my white gel pen. For the final embellishment, I used some hoarded K & CO brads which went with, I believe, a patriotic set it put out a few years ago. (Yes, I said years!!!) I sponged the whole card with Creamy Caramel, Really Rust, Antique Linen, Close to Cocoa for a more antique look. Thanks so much for stopping by and taking a peek!
Materials Used: Cranberry Crisp, My Minds Eye, VV, Coluzzle, Creamy Caramel, Really Rust, Antique Linen distress ink, Close to Cocoa, Twine, brad, Wanted, Bronc Buster, Nestibilites, white gel pen, hole punch

Lookie who I got to meet!!
Wow!! It has been a busy 2 weeks for me as I had family in town for my twins 6th birthday. We had so much fun, but probably not as much fun as my boys did receiving all the fun presents they got from friends and family! They are into Transformers and boy! Was it on overload that day! Here is a birthday picture... aren't they the little devils? Um...er... I mean HANDSOME little cuties??!! LOL!
I am now getting back into creating and I will post a creation later on today as it is DH and my anniversary today, so it will be his card you will see! In addition, tomorrow is Thursday, so it will be Sketches! By Tamara's card sketch challenge! I hope you can play along! BUT!!! Guess who came to visit me?? Judy Rozema (StampingQueenJAR)!! It was so much fun!! She was here in NC visiting her son and decided to drive the extra 2 hours to have lunch and do a little shopping! It just was great laughing and getting to put face with name! One of my boys took the picture of us which is why we look like we are looking at the floor! LOL!! But, he did a pretty good job! Thanks for stopping by and I will have a fun little project to post later!! Have a stamping good day!
