Golden Communion

Hi everyone!! I was out of town for my nephew's communion and just had a wonderful time with my brother and his family! Can you believe that I had not seen them in 5 years?!?! Crazy...

I made my nephew a card and I wanted it to be clean.  For whatever reason, I always picture Communion cards to be "clean."

For this card, I used white and gold cs while the cross is embossed in gold.  I used Gina K's He has Risen set for this card thanks to my friend Stacy (Twinshappy) for letting me borrow it.  It really is a wonderful set and now I know why she was so excited to have it way back when she bought it!! {Waving... Hi Stac!}
I punched the corners of the gold cs with my ornate corner punch and embossed the cross on the white.  Once embossed, I took one of my petite oval Nestibilites to dry emboss the outside of the cross.  I covered the cross with the size I wanted and then turned the cs over. Using my stylus, I ran over the Nestie to give the dimension to the card I wanted.  A simple faux Nestie look.  I tucked in the main image into the corners and then stamped the sentiment on Acetate, using my heat gun to dry it, so that it can be overlaid on the cross. I then tucked that into each corner.   That is it! Simple and yet elegant!!

Thanks so much for stopping by and taking a peek!!

Materials used: Gina K, White and gold cs, gold ep, Versamark, Nestibilities, stylus, corner punch, acetate, Momento Brown
