Had A Blast - Your Next Stamp Friday Challenge 103

TGIF!

The week has come to an end and I hope you all have fun plans for the weekend.  Today is a new challenge over on the YNS Blog and it is "Seeing Stars." This is a fun challenge in using stars on your creation and this gives you a lot of playing room to decide your design.

For my card, I made on using the set of Blast Off AND lucky for you all, it's on SALE!! Who doesn't love that?!

I decided on a fairly CAS design using my card base as "space" for the image.  I stamped the image and colored in parts with Copics and paper pieced the others.  The patterned paper is from the no longer Basic Grey company from their Ambrosia collection.  I cut out the stars with the coordinating die set with some scrap glitter paper I had and placed it throughout. The image was popped up with some foam tape while the sentiment was heat embossed directly on to the card base.  I do dislike being able to see my embossing static powder on the card stock even after wiping it away.  I think it's time to find a new one.  What is your favorite?

That does it for me today, but be sure to stop by the YNS Blog to see all the wonderful creations from the DT! Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!

Furry Friends - The Cat's Pajamas Tuesday Challenge - TCPTUES354

Happy Thursday everyone!

Hope you all had a great week and hopefully for those of you who got some of this snow that stormed in yesterday, you had a nice day off!

Today I am sharing with you a card for the Cat's Pajamas Stamps Tuesday Challenge 354 that is all about Furry Friends! I know many of you have some fun TCP stamps that feature the fun furry friends the store sells. Why not play along and link up your creation for a chance to win? My card is featuring the adorable mouse from the set of Live More.  He is just the cutest standing there ready for placement on your creation. :)

I used some patterned paper I had in my scrap stash for the sky and added some of the TCP Stitched Clouds Cut Ups for more depth.  The image was colored in with Copics and what should have have been colored directly onto the top panel, it ended up being fussy cut out as I made an ink mistake on the open white space. Ugh... I think it turned out fine either way.  I then stamped the sentiment directly onto the panel and over his tail.  This probably would have come out a little neater if the image was not cut out, but it happens.  I finished the card with a few matte enameled dots for dimension.

Be sure to stop over at the TCP Blog to see the other creations the Cat Pack made and for more information on how you can play along!! Thanks for stopping in today and make it a great one!

Meant To Bean - Your Next Stamp Challenge 103

Happy Friday!

Today is a new challenge with Your Next Stamp and today the DT is featuring projects that showcase shapes.  Any die cut shape on the project counts!

For my card, I am using the new release set of Brew-tiful Day and it's coordinating die set.

This is a CAS card using the new YNS Perfect Blend paper collection and the beans and sentiment from the stamp set.  The pop of red from the talking bubble makes it stand out a bit more.  Once I cut out all the beans to be placed where I wanted, I used some some Press n Seal to keep the design and then some glue to the backing before putting it back where I wanted it.  The card was finished with the sentiment stamped directly onto the card base.

Be sure to stop by the YNS Blog to see all the DT creations! Thanks for stopping by and I hope you all have a  great weekend!

Monster-ous Valentine Kisses - Your Next Stamp

Happy Monday and happy day after Super Bowl!

Did your team win? I hope either way, you had a great weekend doing what you enjoy or watching the bowl game.  Today, I am sharing a little love for the Valentines Series Your Next Stamp is showcasing this month. I have a treat project using the super fun Butterfly Treat Box die and Silly Love Monsters stamp set..

This treat box would typically have the beautiful butterfly as the topper, but I decided to create my own topper to make it fit for Valentines and have a heart that I created as a topper instead.  The box is filled with the conversational kisses and I decorated the outside using some patterned paper from Echo Park and cut out the Silly Love Monster to be popped up over that.  The sentiment was stamped and placed at an angle and finished with some of the fun Hearts and Dots Gumdrops.  I also placed a few gumdrops on either side of the box for some added elements.  This die makes for a fun and easy treat giving for any occasion.

That's all for me today, but be sure to check the YNS Blog this whole week to see all the fun projects the DT have done to help get your Valentine mojo in order.  Thanks for stopping by and hope you have a great week!
