Filled With Sunshine

Hello!

I hope you all are having a good week.  I have been busy gearing for our upcoming move and trying to accomplish all things crafty before they disappear into boxes!

I was able to play around with my MFT Die-namics Sun Ray die to create this fun and easy card.

I started with a white base and used a light yellow cardstock from Flourishes for the sun ray.  I felt the yellow was too pale in comparison to the white, so I thought I would create a black frame around it without compromising  the white background.  I cut out another sun ray in black and used the left over frame to glue around my card base before adhering the sun ray inside.  I stamped the sentiment from MFT's Blue Skies Ahead and popped it up over.  I added some stickles to 'Sunshine' and some yellow pearls for an element.

So, I hope your day today is filled with sunshine and you made it a great day!! Thanks for stopping in!

Happy Memorial Day

Hello friends!

Happy Memorial Day!  While you are spending some relaxing time with friends and family, I do hope you will take a moment to remember those who have served, are currently serving, and those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for this country; the ones who paid the check when "the balance was due."  These men and women wrote the check that allows me to do what I love and to be able to spend time with my family.

My card I made is an oldie that I made and one that I wanted to do in tribute to thank a veteran in place of a sympathy card.  I love the CAS look of this that allows this cutie from MFT called Soldier Boy (retired) to stand out.

The base is a heavyweight white cardstock with another white layer to pop up.  I paper pieced the soldier with some AA SU! cs and colored in his face, shoes, and hat with Copics.  The patterned paper from CTMH was cut out in a fishtail banner and curled up.  It was then finished with some black jute twine from May Arts and basic twine from my stash.  The sentiment was stamped directly onto the cs.

Thanks so much for taking the time to look and have a safe rest of the holiday!

Friendship Seeds - YNS Friday Fun Project

Hello blogger friends!

I hope you all had a wonderful week and are ready to spend a safe and relaxing long weekend at your favorite spot.  While you are having fun, please be sure to stop and remember those who have made the ultimate sacrifice in protecting this great country and the many families who will never get to enjoy another holiday with their loved one.

For today's YNS Friday Fun Project, I thought it would be cute to create a seed packet envelope using the ever cute Gardening Fun digi.

The image was colored in with Copics and cut out with my nesties label 7.  It was then popped over the doily and fishtail banner strips using some patterned paper from Studio G and some Kraft in my scrap stash.  It was finished with some twine, a button, and the sentiment was stamped onto the packet from YNS Movie Ellie set.  A cute way to say thanks to someone who loves to garden.

Be sure to check out the other beautiful projects on the YNS blog from the DT and be sure to check out the clearance sale going on now at YNS.  Many fabulous items at a fabulous price!!!  Thanks for stopping in and have a great day!

Best Buds - Your Next Stamp

Happy Tuesday everyone!
It's hard to believe that this is the last week of school for my kids and they will soon be headed to Middle School in the Fall.  I am not sure where the time is going, but it sure is flying by! It's a busy week for me with family coming into town and finishing off this school year.

I did make a card using YNS Best Buds set which is just adorable and on clearance! It's a bargain for sure and one you should snatch up!   I used this months sketch along with the image and colored it in with my Copics.

I started with some black cardstock for the base and some white CS for the layer.  Using some patterned paper from Studio G and Kraft, I made some fishtail banners and popped the image up over them.  The card was finished with some orange sparkle gumdrops and the sentiment stamped at the top right over the top layer.

Super fun and easy sketch! Come play along for your chance to win some YNS goodies! Thanks for stopping by and hope you have a great day!

Teacher's Gifts to Share

TGIF!!

I hope you all had a nice week and are now ready for a great weekend.  I mentioned before that I had some teachers gifts to share with you all that I did during Teacher Appreciation week last week.  These are all super simple gifts that don't take much time.

These were some Vera Bradley lanyards that I placed into some glassine bags from SRM Stickers, also coordinated with some of SRM Stickers. I used some washi tape to close the bag at the back and used a doily to tape to the top before finishing it with some twine and ribbon.

This is a really easy gift that takes no time at all.  Just your computer and some scissors.  I printed out the tag onto some cardstock and using clipart for the background picture.  I then typed over that before cutting it out into a fishtail banner to be attached to the ribbon.  You can't get much easier than this!

Now this gift took a bit more time, but still was easy enough to accomplish.  I made a set of 8 notecards with the teachers initials using my Just Rite stamps and some very old SU! patterned paper I had in my stash.  Each one is different but all with coordinating papers and inks.  I used my computer to print out the tag and cut it out using my MFT Sentiment strip Die-namics  and then attached it with ribbon.

The last gift I did I forgot to take a picture. (insert eye roll here...) I placed into a cellophane bag a book light from Vera Bradley and a fabric book mark that I sewed together.  It looked something like this in a different color scheme:

I added a topper to the bag and attached a tag using my computer that said "Thanks for making us so smart!"

I love making the teachers feel special during appreciation week although I make sure they know they are special during the whole year with gifts during the all the holidays.  Even if it's just a candle or some soap.  They deserve it!

Well, that is about it for me today! Thanks for stopping in and hope you have a great Friday!

Hello!

Hi blogger friends!

This weeks Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge is a fun one and one that will give you a chance to play around with your fun dies that you may have been collecting from various companies.  The challenge is Die Crazy.  I couldn't pass it up to not play, so I made a fun card using MFT's Transformable Say Hello Die-namic.

A CAS look using some heavyweight cardstock for the base and top layer and some fun patterned paper I picked up from Studio G.  Once adhering the top die cut out over the patterned paper, I popped up the complete panel over the base.  It was finished with two simple rhinestones for added bling.

Easy peasy today! Thanks so much for popping in!

MVP Birthday

Hi all!

I hope you all had a great weekend and Mother's Day!  Today I have a card to share with you that I made lots of for an order that I was asked to do.  Super fun for your football fan or you can change it up to reflect another sport that fits.

For this, I started with some heavyweight cardstock for the base ad cut out some strips in the teams color for the back panels.  Using my Cameo, I cut out some football players to be popped up over the strips before stamping 'MVP' off to the right.  That stamp is from MFT's Jersey and stamp set.  To finish it off with some boy accents, I used Flourishes So Distressed for the arrows and splatter.  The inside was stamped Happy Birthday.

Super easy and perfect masculine card without the frills!  Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek! Have great Monday.

Beautiful Bouquet - Your Next Stamp Friday Fun Project

Happy Friday everyone!

I hope you all had a nice week and for those of you who may teachers, Happy Teacher Appreciation week! You certainly deserve to be spoiled and treated extra special.  With this week being teacher appreciation, I have been busy creating little gifts for my kids teachers, gym teachers, and music teacher. For their "main" teachers, I like to give them a little gift every day.  It is appreciation week, so I feel they need to be celebrated everyday.  I will share those gifts with you over the next few days.

For today's project, I created a card keeping with the appreciation week using YNS May digi release of Beautiful Bouquet.  A perfect image for any occasion, and for this, a thank you!

The patterned paper is MME and I used MFT's die-namics polka dot background layered on top.  I colored in the image with copics on some Neenah white cardstock and fussy cut out to  be popped up over the polka dot layer.  I used  a sentiment from YNS Hand Written Sentiments which I inked individually to be able to place it vertically on the fishtail banner.  I finished it off with a flower and some May Arts twine.

Thanks so much for stopping by and be sure to check out the other fabulous Friday fun projects on the YNS blog by the DT members.  Have a great weekend!

For my card, I am using a new Your Next Clear Stamp of Flowers for you. I stamped the image on some Xpress It cardstock and colored him in with Copics.  For the fur, I used a little colorless blender solution on a washcloth and dabbed it around to give it a little texture.  The layout is from Friday Sketch Challenge using some patterned paper from Studio G, Kraft cardstock from The Paper Studio, and finished it off with some sparkly Gumdrops from YNS and a bow.  The main image had been cut out using MFT's Die-namics Stax and popped up.
