Happy Tuesday!
I wanted to share a quick card I made for my hubby's grandmother who has not been feeling well. I used I {heart} 2 Stamp's sketch for July to get me started.
The dp is October Afternoon while the umbrella is MFT's Die-namics stamp set which the sentiment is stamped from. I ruched the ribbon with my sewing machine and finished it off with a button interlaced with jute twine from May Arts. A quick and cheery card that I hope will brighten grandma's day! : )
Did you notice my blog makeover yet AGAIN?! lol! I am not fully in love with it as I am such a simple person. I love the all white background I had before... we will see how long this will last! I hope you all have a great Tuesday!!

My First Publication!
Hi everyone!
I just wanted to pop in today to share my excitement of my first publication! Unfortunately, it is not for one of my paper crafts, but for one of my jewelry designs!
A while back I made some cufflinks which I submitted and it was accepted. So in Augusts issue of Bead Trends Magazine, you will find my creation under Mixed Media (which so happens to be one of the 5 amazing designs stated on the cover!) lol!
Thanks for sharing in my excitment and have a great Monday!!

Moustache... TCP220
TGIF! Another week down! It will be a crazy weekend for me getting caught up on a few projects before leaving again for a week. It's my 20 year high school reunion and the boys and hubby are headed to CA with me for some family time! Of course the boys won't join the hubs and I to the reunion, but we will do all the CA touristy things as my kids don't remember it. When they were 1-3 years old, we were stationed in CA but of course the boys don't remember any of it. So, this will be fun and exciting for all!
Today I want to share with you a card made for The Cat's Pajamas Tuesday SCS Challenge. It is a sketch which is great because thats the hardest part anyway! How you want to design the card. :) I used TCP's Moustache set and coordinating dies with som DP from Making Memories.
It's a nice masculine card style and adds for a little chuckle! The inside sentiment finishes off with 'you a question, but I will shave it for later!' LOL! I just love it! I finished the card with a corner embellishment and popped up the staches.
Thanks for taking a peek and I hope you have a great Friday!!

Top Secret
Well I don't really have anything "Top Secret" to share with you except a card that is perfect for a secret you may have! :)
Today is Wednesday so it is the Hambo Hoedown challenge! Play along with us this week and you get next week's digi for free! It's that easy! All you have to do is use any Hambo Stamps image and follow the challenge! This weeks challenge is using Polka Dots.
Believe it or not, I do not have a lot of polka dot dp! Crazy isn't it? : ) Instead, I used my swiss dots CB folder for the circle panel and some sheer polka dot ribbon over some SU! Blue Bayou saddle stitch ribbon for my take on the challenge. I colored in the image using Copics and popped him up to the side. I stitched along the side of my dp and the base panel and did the same along the sentiment. The main dp is Cosmo Cricket and the plain cs is SU!

CAS Okay
I just wanted to share a quick clean and simple card made for yesterdays SCS CAS challenge. It was a sketch which I did my own take on.
For my base, I used white cs from Lilly Belle while I used my Quick Cutz rectangle cut out for the framed layered over some dp from American Crafts. I then use my flower die cute from MFT's Die-namic collection placed on top of that. I used Verve Visual's Plain Jane sentiment finished with some rhinestones. I love simple cards like this and it really only took about 10 minutes! : )
I hope you all have a great Tuesday and thanks for peeking in!

PJ Bear Birthday
Happy Monday all!
Hope you had a great weekend! Busy for me but great as I did get a girl day of shopping with a friend. So much fun!
Today I am sharing with you a card made for The Cat's Pajamas TCP 219 challenge at SCS. I played along even though I did not have the required dies because PJ is just too cute! :)
I used a Beary Good Year set from TCP and popped up the cake and hat. I used some seam binding topped with some twine from Queen & CO from Lilly Belle Paperie and my oval nesties for the center. The sentiment finishes off with Happy Birthday inside with matching paper.
Simple and fast Monday! I hope you have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

Aw Shucks!
Do you hear the banjo playing and feel you need to be on a rocking chair, on the porch, sipping sweet tea? Hee...
Today at the Hambo Hoedown the challenge is using punches! With the popular trend of dies and Sihouettes or Cricuts to cut out your shapes, a challenge like this really opens up your eyes to how far we've come in this craft! Lol! My stash is pretty sad... This was all I could do with my card...
I used my dust covered Marvey Giga scallop punch for the image while the tag was punched out using my SU! Tag punch. Two oldies for sure!
The image and sentiment are from Hambo Stamps and colored in with Copics. I also made this card for Monday's SCS' CAS challenge of using twine. The dp is Pink Pasley. The entire sentiment is 'aw shucks! Sorry I missed it!' I broke it up with the remaining sentiment on the inside.
We hope you can play along and be sure to give a looksy at what the other Bacon Bits came up with! Have a great Wednesday!

I've Been Itchin'...
That title could really lead to many different thoughts! :) But today it leads to a card made with more funny Hambo Stamps image and sentiment!
This would have been a good card for myself about a month ago when I got bit by something which spread into a horrible rash on both my arms! You would think it was poison ivy, but it was a bite that started it. Perplexed the DR but nothing some good old steriods couldn't fix! Ha!
For this card, I used Hambo's ivy leaf image colored in with Copics and the matching sentiment. The dp is Basic Grey. MFT Die-namics sprial paper was used on the edge. The card was finished using a brad from Paper Studio, some ribbon, and popping up the image and sentiment.

Aaannndddd... We're back!!
Hi everyone!
I am back from vacation! We had such a nice time between FL and NC that we are all wishing we were still at the beach! Especially when you are coming home to over 100 degrees!! The good thing is that it has been raining on and off the last few days, so my grass is doing the happy dance! :) We had some family pictures done at the beach which I can't wait to see and share! The photographer will be sending me the proofs so I am patiently (sort of...) waiting! In the meantime, I have a card to share!
This card was made using Hambo Stamps Birds with a Sign stamp which I used my computer for the banner sentiment. This stamp always makes me giggle because these birds are so silly and I can imagine them doing something like a "who's on first" skit! For the image, I colored them using my Primacolor Pencils and no gamsol. Just blended... I used some scrap dp I had from Basic Grey for the background and some twine for the ribbon. For the inside sentiment, I used the Hambo Stamps sentiment that does fit perfectly in the banner, 'Happy Bird-day!'
I hope you all have a great day and stay cool! Or dry if you are lucky to have some rain! Thanks for stopping by!
