On the road again...

Just another day supporting the oil companies!  I am leaving tomorrow morning from my moms in FL to my final destination-North Carolina. The boys and I are excited to see our new home and get settled in before the start of school. They are starting Kindergarten this year and are so eager to see the school they will be attending.  (I am eager to get them out the door! LOL!)  I love my boys dearly, but it is certainly time for school! It has been a long summer with them and my stamps will begin to osmosis back to plain rubber if I don't get back to stamping!! However, I had a wonderful ending to my adventure of moving and summer by being in Chicago last week spending time with the best group of gals!  I am still trying to recover!  To top it all off, my sister, who lives in Switzerland, just got engaged to a wonderful man! We are so excited for her and can't wait to see her walk down the aisle.  She will be married by the end of the year and it will take place in Holland (that is where her fiance is from). How fun this will be!  I will leave you all with a few more, and final pics from Chicago.  Also, I am in the mood for some enabling so check out the bottom for some awesome savings!!  I am signing off for now but should be back in the next few days!! Have a wonderful weekend and thanks for stopping by!!

This is a favorite picture of mine.  A group shot on the first day of CHA. We do have a few MIA-Jamie Middleton, a friend of Kim's and the force in getting MFT off the ground, Christy Beckwith-MFT Illustrator, and Amber Hillman.  These girls are just the best and we definitely had to have been the giggliest (Is that even a word??) group there!! From Left to right top row: Carolyn King (Cammie), Alma de la Rosa-The Cat's Pajamas Owner/Illustrator, Laura Canale (Lovinlifenvegas), Me, Michelle Giraud (Flaxychick), Kim Van der Sanden (MFT)  BOTTOM ROW: Joanne Basile (basilefamily), Carole Burrage (TruCarMa), and Kirsten DuBosque.

We had a nice group dinner the last night in Chicago.  We went to this great little mexican restaurant called Maria's.  Just a darling little place and very nice staff!   We had a very long table so we were trying to get pictures from all angles.  Mine unfortunately did not come out as well, so this is one Kirsten took.

This man was the entertainment for the restaurant that evening.  He was a lot of fun and sang quite well.  I just had to get a shot of him serenading us women!!

** MFT is having 20% all paper goodies!! Memory Box, Petaloo, and Rubber Soul all 20% OFF!!! All you need is this coupon code: CHASummer08  This is good stuff!!  ALSO...
The Cats Pajamas is have 25% OFF THE ENTIRE STORE this weekend!! Now is the time to pick up those images you have waited on!! These two sales are bargains!!!
Happy Shopping!!! **

CHA Chatter-Part Deux

BLBLBLBLBLBLBLBLBLBLBL!!!! (our little call sign to each other from CHA...)

Hi everyone!  I am still at my mom's in FL and it is raining non-stop at the moment.  I thought I would take the time to post just a few more pics from CHA since it would get me out of the cabin fever funk I am feeling.  Not to mention a break from refereeing my children...  I can't wait to head to out new home in NC this weekend and hug all my stamping stuff! LOL!!  I can't believe it has been nearly a month since I have created something! My head is full of ideas...  Enjoy the pictures and as always, thanks for stopping by!

Ahhh.... yes, the dueling duo! Carole (TruCarMa) and Carolyn (Cammie). It was such fun to be around the both of them and enjoy their friendly spats! Carole, everything still coming out ok??

Like I mentioned yesterday, I had the opportunity to meet and be around  the best in stamping companies! Here are two of them! Kim (MFT) and Gina K!!  Could they be any nicer??? Just the best!

OMGosh!  Here is another sweetheart making her way into this big bad world of stamping!  Angela from Unity Stamps!  Not only did she have a beautiful booth at CHA, but she truly is a beautiful person!

Here are two more wonderful, talented ladies! Joanne Basile (basilefamily) and Melanie Munchinger (melmel) It was so wonderful to see Melanie again.  I first met her at the Arlington Swap and was so much fun!  This time, she was just as fun AND she cut her hair!!! It looks great!  Joanne cracked me up constantly!  We had a few things in common and always had wonderful conversations!  We were in a cab on the way to dinner one night with the group and Joanne ended up getting the front seat.  She turned around to talk to us as we were pulling away from the hotel and the driver told her to turn around and close her legs!! BWAHAHAHAHA!! We are not sure what that was all about, but we certainly laughed about it over drinks!!! I am still laughing about it as I type....

CHA Chatter... What a ride!!

Well, I am back from Chicago and had an absolute blast!! Not only did I get to meet so many fellow SCSers, but owners of some of the best stamp companies around!  It was just so exciting to talk to everyone and get to know them a little better.  I even took the Copic class with some of these talented ladies.  Here are some pictures I took of who I got to meet..  Thanks so much for stopping by!  I will post more pics of fabulous ladies over the next few days!

Two of the sweetest ladies you will meet... Kim from MFT and  Emilybella from Stampingbella!

Laura Canale (Lovinlifenvegas), Michelle Giraurd (Flaxychick), and no other than Nichole Heady!  At this time, I was the Paparazzi for everyone as I always seem to be the one taking pictures! I had such a good time!

How fun it was to see Bev (TexasGammy) again! We first met at the Arlington swap in May and to see her again in Chicago was such a treat! What a doll she is!

Now here is a girl I think everyone needs to meet!! What a sweetheart and down to earth person you will come across!  What an honor to meet her... Lisa Johnson

We were having too good of a time in the Copic class... I stopped to take a snapshot of Jamie and Kim while we to be learning!

These two... Flaxychick and lovinlifenvegas, what sweeties!!! {{SIGH}} We had such a good  time laughing it up and hanging out...not to mention my two morning coffee buddies!

What would I do without my BFF Carolyn (Cammie)!!  It was so nice to see her again since we have moved away from each other.  We decided that this was a perfect time to meet up and hang out!

My all time favorite! Sharon (notimetostamp) was in my Copic class and I wasted NO time in introducing myself and taking a snapshot with her!  What a sweetheart and a pleasure to meet!! I am just one of her many stalkers! LOL!

Thank you all...

Hi everyone!! I know it has been so long since my last post, but I hope you all can bear with me while we are in transition moving from TX to NC. So far our move is going well and dh is in NC waiting for the arrival of our household goods which should be on Thursday. Keep your fingers crossed! The boys and I are in FL with my mom visiting and having a nice time. Partly, because I have an agenda! LOL!! My mom is going to babysit for me while I go to Chicago to take the Copic Certification class. I am so excited and can't wait to meet so many SCSers who will be there. Not to mention some other big names!! I will most certainly share with you all what iI learn. We all know how fun Copics are to color with and how beautiful your images turn out once colored with them. This class will teach some other ways to color with the markers as well as how to color certain types of images.

I thank you all for your patience during this downtime- I can't wait to get back to creating and sharing any ideas I may have, and I most certainly will as soon as I get my stamping room in order.

Happy 4th of July!!

Hi everyone!

We are back from our vacation and I wanted to wish you all a happy and safe 4th of July!!  My posts for the next few weeks may be sporadic as we are getting ready to move to NC.  The packers will be here on Monday, so by Wednesday, I will have nothing but my laptop!!  However, I am heading to Chicago mid-month to attend a Copic certification class and I may have a few creations to post from that.  I am pretty excited about it and can't wait to share some new things with you all!  Have a fabulous week!
