I will be showing you a card made with this sketch after this sneak peek.  So let's go peeking...

This card is made with a new OCL set called Patriotic Parade.  This bear and turtle are just darling!!

Due to the size of this image, I used OCLDT10 sketch which worked out beautifully! (Not to mention, it catches me up on playing along!!)  You can find the sketch here.  I colored the image with Copics and used my Sakura glaze pen on the wheels and nose of the bear and my Sakura clear glitter pen on the stars.  Here is a closer look:

You can't see the nose very well, but you can see the shine off the wheels and if you enlarge the photo by clicking on it, you will be able to see the sparkly stars!  I used dp Kismet by Katye Witt, star brads which were given to me, ribbon by Offray, and the main image is popped up.  I cut the corners of the sentiment to look a little like a banner while bending it to look "wavy." Such a fun set that THIS IS THE BLOG CANDY! : )

As you can see, it is versatile in being able to interchange what you would like in your wagon.  You could be the lucky winner....

Now! On to the sneak peek! Today I am sharing with you a creation made with a set called Fabulous Florals. Not only are they fabulous, but fabulous to color!

I am not normally a purple kind of gal, but the purples in my Copic collection were calling out to me! I really like these shades of lavender.  I popped up the main panel and the flower on the top.  It is a separate flower I colored and cut out; shown here.

The border is a MS lace punch, DP is Basic Grey Lily Kate, and the textured cardstock is Paper Studio.  I finished off the card with SU! Black Gingham ribbon, metal dots by Mark Richards, and added a little yellow Spica pen to the center of the flower topped off with a dot of Platinum Stickles.

Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to stop by the other fabulous design teams' blogs for some other great creations with this upcoming release!!

I am going to wake you up this morning by showing you a sample of Flower Power! Think 60's! Love! Peace! Colors! ....

I used OCLDT09 Sketch to create this card:

I used Yo Yo Yellow as my base card with some unknown dp that I had in my scraps. I colored in the main image with my Copics and cut out by hand while the back circle was cut using my Nesties.  I cornered some of the edges and added some dew drops on the end.  I finished off the card by popping up the peace sign and sentiment and finishing off the inside with a small flower image in the set! Fun stuff!!

This set is so much fun!! Here is a look at the entire set:

Amate Studios-Mothers Day

Hi everyone! Hope you are all having a great start to your Tuesday!  It is amazing how you can start your day with not too much to do and then all of sudden- BAM! You have a day full of things to do!! No? Is it just me? {Sigh} Oh well! It certainly makes my day go by faster, although I sometimes don't want it to! : )

Today I am going to show you some Amate Studios projects with Mother's Day in mind.  This first one being a pendant:

I started off using a copper square pendant component and used some wire designed brass findings by Traditions for the filling. I cut the finding to size and used my pliers to bend the sides in so that it would sit inside the component raised.  It is quite snug when you do this that no glue is required.  I then took some 24ga copper wire and wire wrapped the entire component with no particular design in mind.  Half way through the wrapping, I added some Paper Studio ribbon alphabet slides to spell 'MOM' and made sure I wrapped through those letters twice to make it tight.  I then used my Tim Holtz Alcohol inks and dauber to "antique" it up all over the pendant.  I finished the pendant off by adding some charms of a butterfly and key to the bottom.

The second project was something I was thinking with the gardening mom in mind.  I found a lot of fun gardening things at Michaels that were inexpensive.

I found a fun yellow metal bucket and based the tools and such around that color.  I found gloves, windchimes, tissues, seeds, and a spade all in yellow.  I then found some fun ribbon in the dollar bin which I used to thread along the top of the bucket by using my Crop-a-dile to punch out the holes.  I then used the large Amate Studios flower pendant as a "tag" to hang which says mom.  I used Flourishes  A year in Flowers as the main image colored in with Copics and highlighted with my clear Spica pen.  I used my 1/4" round punch to punch out the letters and popped them up in the center of the pendant.  What you can't see in this picture is the sparkle from the Spica pen that I used all over the image.  I did not place anything over the pendant like transparency or resin or glossy accents.  So, just a fun little Mother's Day idea for the gardening mom!!

Thanks for stopping by and hope you have a great day!! Don't forget that the sneek peeks for Our Craft Lounge starts tomorrow and the Blog Hop on Friday!! You won't want to miss what the design team has put together and some fun new releases you can win!!

The Fling is Over! But Here's a Spellbinder Nestibilitie Storage Idea!

Sounds like I've been having some fun doesn't it? lol!! Well, I did but after the Spring Break fun, its been a lot of DR's appointments.  My children both suffer from extreme allergies and one with asthma.  However, Austin is allergic to just about everything that grows outside!  This season, as you all know, is the worst on record, but it has been detrimental to my son.  With that said, he is seeing an allergist to be poked and prodded again and start possible shots every week. (we are still working on that one...) The meds he currently takes might as well be water.  Anyhoo... between the two of them, I have my own seat and check in line at the DR's! Now who doesn't want that?! : )

OK! SO! To start the week off, I am showing you how I store my Spellbinder Dies.  I love my Nestibilities, but ran out of ways to store them.  So, I decided to make my own storage that works for me! A magnetic book!

I used my Bind-it-All to create this and all you need is:

~Chipboard (I used a 12x12 set from Bind-it-All and cut it to size)

~Bind-it-All machine and spirals

~8.5"x11" Magnetic Sheets

~Heavy posterboard such as Ghostline

~Some DP to decorate!
As you can see, I am not completely done with my decorating of my book, but I at least covered it with DP! :)

I cut my posterboard to be 8.5"x11" which was the size of the magnetic sheets.  I used my ATG to adhere the two together.

Once I had the amount of sheets I wanted, I was ready to put it all together!

I ran my covers and sheets (not all together of course!) through my Bind-it-All, added the spirals, and then I was done!

It really is easy peasy to do and you can make this as big or as small as you like! I really like this and it makes it easy for me to see and use my dies since they are now at my fingertips!

I hope you enjoyed this project!! Thanks for your patience in my return to blogland... Stay tuned this week because its ***SNEAK PEEK-BLOG HOP- AND BLOG CANDY WEEK ***with Our Craft Lounge!  All the fun begins Wednesday and you sure don't want to miss it!! You can win some awesome new releases!

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have an AWESOME Monday!!

Just Spring-ing Up!

The weather has been and will continue to be like summer here!! We have been enjoying that hot sun and time outside. Ahhh... it's so nice to have some Vitamin D back....

Today I have a pop up card to show you with a little bit of "bounce" to it! I made a traditional pop up card and added a small spring from Piggy Tales on the image so when it opens, it springs up.

Here is the front of the card:

For this, I used some October Afternoon dp called Fresh Mowed Grass.  I just love the colors! Teal and Olive... very pretty!  For the grass I used a stamp from Impress, cut it out and added some small Prima flowers which I colored with my Copics to match.  I then added some Stickles in the center for sparkle.  For the sentiment and main image inside, I used OCL's Hoppin' Into Spring.

Here is the inside:

Sorry for the shadow...
I once again used the grass stamp for the bottom edge, drew in and colored with Copics some Easter eggs and finished it up by sponging some hills and clouds.  The image was also colored in with Copics, cut out, and below is a closer look of the spring:

Side View:

These springs are so much fun and with your imagination, would make for some great cards!

That about wraps it up for today, but thank you so much for stopping by!! Have a great Thursday!

Materials Used: OCL-Hoppin' into Spring, October Afternoon dp, Piggy Tails spring, SU! Old Olive, VV, Bashful Blue ink, Close to Cocoa ink, Copics, Impress Grass stamp, Self adhesive metal dots, Primas, Stickles.
